Walked in on a Saturday night with no reservation and was given a table for two pretty quickly. We were told to leave before 8:30 but that was fine. Beautiful interior. The table was a wobbly. Starters we're very nice and nice design. Main course...More

Very grand premises, spacious, well laid out tables, comfortable seating, excellent lighting, immaculate washrooms. Lovely chandeliers, understated decor, very warm surroundings. Impressed ! A huge bar at the entrance, we did not try. Range of wines, soft drinks, cocktails, a reasonable a la carte menu...More

I was recommended this restaurant by my cab driver on the basis that it must be good as it has been around for many years. Only a few diners on a Tuesday lunch. The prawn entree was tiny (in Australia we use those sized prawns...More

Visited here as part of a conference dinner and I was expecting some nice curry dishes just as I'm used to at my local. Unfortunately not. This place is rather upmarket and we were treated to some high brow cuisine which wasn't really to my...More

Just across from Gloucester Road tube in Kensington, you can't appreciate this Indian restaurant from outside. Modern, spacious, piano accompaniment, open fire in bar entrance area, friendly staff and good quality menu. Loved the berry lassi. All spicy but not too hot! Would work as...More

The Bombay Brasserie tucked away at the corner of Gloucester Road Underground is small unlike it's reputation of being the best Indian restaurant in London, the second best being The Portes de Indes off Edgeware Road. The restaurant is plush and has beautiful black and white...More

South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque
white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's
easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with
superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and
Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely
child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to
mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall)
such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming

What do you consider expensive? It's very good and it is London so it ain't cheap, as a treat if you want to experience a high quality curry in a great atmosphere it is worth it.

I don't think they state that it's halal- but call them. Personally I think they must have rated themselves as "one of the best Indian restaurants in Britain". In my experience they come nowhere near. They probably claim... More

Opening in 1982, Bombay Brasserie was in the vanguard of modern Indian cuisine, with an inventive approach that married classic regional cooking with a European brasserie-style menu. The spacious interior, with its airy conservatory and bright murals, extends to a welcoming bar and a more traditional dining room well suited to the affluent Kensington clientele.
