What a wonderful, wonderful experience. I'd had a fantastic meal at Asia de Cuba in New York, when I lived there. I was delighted to see that there was one in London, as well. We happened upon a prix fixe offer and booked. Ah...it was everything I loved and more! I hadn't realised that it was in a hotel -... More

I think they went a bit overboard trying to be "unique". The food is good, but is it really worth the price tag attached to it?? Big question. VERY loud music. London has a lot of much better places to offer.

Food and service good but didn't wow me given the final bill. Agree with other reviewers that tables are so close together, you or those on the tables either side cannot have a private conversation. Nice to have experienced Asia de Cuba but didn't grab me enough to make me go out of my way to return.

I felt like I was a nuisance rather than a customer from the moment I walked into this restaurant. Was sent around the corner to deposit my coat, only to find a huge coat queue so walked away and kept my coat with me for the evening. Was then sat on a table, so close to another table it felt... I booked this restaurant as part of hubby's birthday treat and we plumped for the £45 option. Our waiter (from Lithuania or Latvia) was delightful and immediately brought us water and the cocktails we ordered whilst we looked at the menu. The Bellini was lovely and we were told we could have as many as we wanted over the next... More

We tried this place during our city trip to London and were not disappointed at all. Starting with very tasty, refreshing cocktails while we were waiting for our table to be prepared. Afterwards we had ceviche "salmon", black bean and plantain empanadas and tunapica tartare - every one of them was amazing! Continued by tamarind glazed salmon, rocotto glazed black... More

We went here for a Saturday afternoon for a girl friends 40th. The atmosphere was lovely but food pretty average. The cocktails were good and so made up for the food. However we were promised a table in the bar afterwards only to be told it was fully booked when we finished our meal. Instead they hurried us off our... More

Seated at 5.15 pm for set menu for 7 of us. Cocktail included in the deal. I had calamari, tuna and Mexican doughnuts. If I had known how tuna cooked, would have had chicken. I prefer tuna well cooked, not blue. That was the only blemish on an otherwise excellent meal. All other dishes excellent. Would visit again.

Its not just the doughnuts which is good in this restaurant but probably everything you put in your mouth. I wish i remember to tell you everything we ordered but we had a lobster mash potato, really good wine and Mexican doughnuts with caramel and chocolate as a desert. Beautiful setting, great ambiance, excellent service, good location..i would definitely have... More

Used to go to this restaurant quite a bit, especially on my birthday for lunch to treat myself. Most disappointing experience this year... they have changed the menu and its awful... they have got rid of some of the best dishes. The tuna tartar was my favorite, now they have mixed it around with olives and avocado so it tastes... More

Description
For global travellers with a cultured palate and a love of variety, Asia de Cuba is a destination restaurant with a must-taste fusion philosophy. The iconic St Martins Lane eatery has been newly renovated and now offers an updated menu and whimsical, enchanting interior design. Cuban-born executive concept chef Luis Pous enhances Jeffrey Chodorow's original culinary vision with experimental combinations and a new twist on old favourites. Inspired by the cultural synthesis of old Havana's Chinatown, Pous interprets Asian-influenced Cuban fare for a modern crowd and a discerning palate. The new Asia de Cuba retains the same authentic preparations, tropical accents, and sharing-style presentation loved by guests and food critics alike, now enhanced with a creative new menu and a chic new dining sanctuary. Fresh ingredients, handcrafted dishes, and eye-catching interiors make for an unforgettable dining experience with surprising cultural flavours. Bottomless Brunch runs from Friday to Sunday, with live music on a Saturday.
