My nephew invited me to have dinner with him at Asakusa - a Japanese restaurant, which has been in existence for over thirty years - and rightly so ! We were greeted with smiles and charm from both the Manager and the pretty waitresses and had a cup of warm sake, while we nibbled at edamame beans, gyoza and Spinach. We... More

Enjoyed the dinner here, one of the most traditional sushi restaurant in London. Variety, fresh prepared and good taste. Service and general cleanness I think can still be improved.

I love this Japanese restaurant. It's pure Japanese, fresh products, frequented by several Japanese clients with no surprise. Great fun in the juxtaposition of the Tirol decor (maybe previous heritage or an unknown Japanese style to me), the chocolate when you pay the bill clashing with the subtleness of the food taste. Kind of an experience! :) Very kind service.... More

I came here with friends who are regulars. We ate the asakusa salad, salmon sashimi, quail egg skewers and miso aubergine topped with prawn. All dishes were incredibly tasty and an authentic taste of Japan. Service was prompt and friendly. I will definitely be returning!

Always go to Asakusa with friends and must say it is simply delicious! They have a very large menu, but do have loads of delicious food! Would highly recommend. Their fish is great, their sushi is yummy and their dumplings are good too.

Food ok but not great! The place was packed and the atmosphere frenetic! Sushi was a bit warm but fresh The katsu pork was ok but chicken skin greasy The black cod was really tasty and the green tea ice cream amazing but not a great place sorry to say They seemed overbooked so good delayed somewhat Lovely staff

I have to be honest and confess that Asakusa doesn't look like the most enticing restaurant to visit if one were to walk past it – green signboard is kind of hideous and half the lights were down. However, the food quality and service one can expect to find at Asakusa parallel those in Japan. My mate and I visited... More

My friend recommend this place and it did not disappoint. The food is reasonably priced yet had its own twist and were prepared with love. I recommend their tamago yaki with eel and also their sushi and sashimi. Had to wait for awhile for the sushi as they have only one sushi chef that night. But it's well worth the... More

Asakusa is one of my favourite restaurants in London. I've been and visited several regions of Japan and I can vouch for the fact that the food at Asakusa is as authentic as it gets, with the additional benefit of honest prices. It is a very popular restaurant so there are a lot of people throughout the week so when... More

We came here for our anniversary, food was great. Would definitely recommend the agedashi nasu, its sooo good! My only problem was, we booked a table (it's notoriously hard to get a table as it's always so busy) and it took us a long time to be seated. When we did we were seated downstairs and was invited by the... More
