I had been here a few times for drinks on the terrace. Friends and our kids decided to eat here and we were pleasantly surprised - the moules and escargot were lovely. Best garlic bread I had had in years. The staff were nice and friendly and the service was quick. As it was lunch we were downstairs but I... More

This restaurant offers a 'french' impression and delivers a reasonable experience. The menu is rather limited (especially starters) and is not particularly authentic in presentation of the meals. Quality is satisfactory but not outstanding. Friendly service enhances the overall experience. Steep stairs are not easy for older visitors. Can be good value with an 'offer' such as Tastecard.

Dear Ian P Thank you for your comments and i am pleased that you enjoyed dining with us. I am also pleased that you thought the service was friendly too. With regard to the stairs - the same menu is served up and downstairs and toilets are located downstairs to ease those with difficulties Kind Regards Karen More

Early doors drinks after a long working day. Found this bar on way back to hotel. It ticked all the boxes and liked the candle lit atmosphere. Drinks average prices for London and good range of wine. Music not too lound, found it easy to have a conversation. Staff friendly. It was nice and will visit again. Thank you.

Ok..it was a wet Friday lunchtime but restaurant was virtually empty and lacking in atmosphere and quite chilly. The staff weren't awful but not particularly interested in us or food choices...no smiling or eye contact and looked vaguely bored. I ordered a salad nicoise which looked just like a tin of tuna had been upended onto lettuce and some rather... More

Had a fantastic lunch for two - champagne on the roof terrace in the last of the autumn sunshine and then a delicious meal in the restaurant. Service was prompt and courteous, and the food was spot on - escargots followed by moules. The wine list was surprisingly reasonably priced too, A little treat before winter sets in.

Visited on a Tuesday evening - so not the busiest night. Despite this, service was poor. We had to find our own table and got so bored waiting we actually started to leave when somebody finally presented us with menus. Nothing special about the food. Steaks were good (not great). Around £60 per head for 3 courses including wine. Average

There is a decent size and very underused restaurant on the first floor of this pub / restaurant opposite the Union Jack Club and under the railway line between Waterloo and Waterloo East. Amazingly, it isn't really affected by the noise unless you sit outside on the terrace when you get a low rumble of trains every 10 minutes or... More

Was here last night for a colleagues leaving drinks. Don't be fooled by the lovely decor . It's a trap- Terrible service and worse food. Avoid like the plague.

Firstly the setting is lovely, especially the roof terrace. We easily got a table for two on a friday night without booking. I suffer from gluten intolerance and the staff kindly provided a menu which highlighted the food i was able to eat. Unfortunately half of what was highlighted did have gluten in, ie steak and chips or snails with... More

Very basic, certainly in relation to the price. I ordered the steak. Which was a bit to much charcoalisch. Fries were good, not fancy and dressing a half tomato.
