We've visited a few different places in Chinatown but this is definitely our favourite. The waiter was extremely helpful and guided us very well on quantities and different dishes to try. We had some old favourites as well as a delicious array of different dumplings and buns (I can honestly say it was the best prawn toast I've ever had!)... More

The place doesn't look super nice, it's on 4 floors and I haven't seen dimsum karts or tables with these plates you can rotate to easily share the food. The food was average, cheap for sure, but meh. It took a long time to serve everything; vegetables were not fresh; turnip cake, xiumai and some other classics were not good.... More

So it's not posh or fancy (all the better for it) but it's not Royal China. What it is is very good Hong Kong dim sum. If you eat a mountain like we do it ends up around £18 each with tea. Chung fun is very good here....

It's definitely the best chinese food I've ever had. The place is not too expensive, the dim sums are tasty, but the service is average, if not saying bad. Once I was charged extra 10 pounds for nothing, maybe a mistake, but it shouldn;t happen. It's still worth going there for this taste.

JKL is long-established and you can tell. Good Friday Bank Holiday and a table was booked for 5 at short notice. The reserved table was appropriate in shape and size for a group conversation and not too close in proximity to other tables. We were shown to our table on the second floor without delay after entering. Following this good... More

I adore the dim sum here, as good as much I've had with my family or in Hong Kong. The service is abrupt - fast and purely functional. This is pretty much par for the course when it comes to good dim sum in my experience, but you'll always have a full pot of tea and you won't have to... More

Wanted to visit this restaurant for dim sum for a while, the interior is more pleasant than some other china town restaurants but the food was hit and miss. Service is as expected in this part of town, brisk and functional. Pleasantries don't come into the dining experience, some of this dim sum I have to say were poor. The... More

We've been here before! This is a great restaurant for lovers of great Chinese food. Although it's not quite on the main China Town streets, it's just a couple of steps away. The service is great - but the food is why to go there. The menu is straightforward; just choose some dishes that sound appealing. You won't be disappointed!!

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
