We had an amazing time at Caboose. Ten friends and I celebrated my birthday with great food and a fun atmosphere in our own private cabin. There's so much yummy food and it's a lovely intimate evening with your chef. Highly recommend for a special...More

Do not visit this "restaurant". The management are awful and treat their customers like dirt. No consideration for people. Go here if you want your night ruined.

Loved it. Booking was easy and the team were able to accommodate our special requests (we had a little girl with us, and of course we wanted to stream the England match ⚽) as well as our times. The food was excellent - the beef...More

Had an amazing night with incredible food and a great host. Couldn’t recommend it any more highly - well worth the money and journey in from Surrey. Will be going again soon for sure.

Booked as a private dining, food was tasty but £45 pp was expensive for basically a burger and chicken wing. I wont use again 😳

This suited our party of 12 down to the ground. It was cosy but the food was superb and it was perfect for us to be sat all facing each other in our own private space- so much more fun than a long table in...More

Booked by my Sister as a surprise for my dads 60th. There was a bit of concern as to whether 11 of us would fit as the Caboose looks quite compact in the gallery pics. It's probably best if you know your party quite well...More

Description
A Caboose is the last carriage on a train, a rolling cabin where the railway workers of yesteryear used to eat, sleep, play cards and hang out. After seeing a derelict Caboose we decided this would make an excellent space to serve our food, which itself has made its own slow, smoky journey. In the spring of 2013 we set about building our own Caboose from the ground up. We rolled into Brick Lane 3 months later and have been here ever since. Our menu is about pairing slow smoked meat with fresh flavour combinations that we feel complement this age-old way of cooking. British food for us means a sensibility for flavour balance and an openness towards global cuisine. We care deeply about the provenance of our meat and the welfare of the animals, as such all our meat is always ethically sourced, free range, and locally sourced wherever possible. Our coffee is all roasted in-house and is always FAIR TRADE. We use a 66% Brazillian Santos & 33% Costa Rica Hacienda Aquiares blend. Our pork is from Dingley Dell Farm & our beef from Dedham Vale - both of which we have visited.
