Cornerstone is the breakfast destination. One of the best varieties I've seen in any cafe. It's become my guilty pleasure. You could make your own breakfast after a night out...or you could go to Cornerstone and know it'll be all taken care of. It has a great atmosphere and is dog friendly. The team are always helpful and friendly. A... More

Have been here several times now. I really like the relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere and find it a lovely place for whiling away time. Had a vegan breakfast the last time I came and was very impressed. The staff are pretty friendly and the service was good. The cafe itself is nice and bright and close to the river for... More

I was down at Woolwich Arsenal for the Tall Ships Festival on Easter Sunday and fancied a coffee stop. I saw a sign for the Cornerstone Cafe and thought I'd give it a try. The place is light airy and welcoming and was pretty full when I arrived with a queue at the counter. There was an impressive array of... More

We had brunch here and while the food was decent enough, tasty and good portion sizes, the staff were ridiculous and made us feel like we were taking up space (even though we were paying customers). We'd barely left the fork and knife down on the plate when they pounced to removed everything...I was still eating when they jumped in... More

When it comes to good food, friendly and genuine staff and a great atmosphere look no further than this eatery in Woolwich The cafe was extremely busy when we went there at the weekend but that didn't deter every girl working there being charming to everyone and sounding (and looking) as if it was a delight to serve their customers... The Cornerstone is fast becoming the place I go to for decent healthy food. A daily smoothie followed by a freshly made salad a few times a week which is something lacking in other places. The staff are very helpful and the people who go there are friendly. I will definitely be going back again!

We eat in here regularly for lunch and also mid morning coffee breaks. The staff are so friendly and the food menu is always being updated with great new items.

Pop in for takeaway coffee some weekends and the occasional breakfast roll when taking the dog for a walk. Food and coffee is good. As someone mentioned below, we don't have any trouble bringing the dog in while we wait (he's bettered behaved than some people's children). Other than the filthy looks we get from some of the snobby regulars... More

Not good staff rude especially head chef. Food uncooked and one staff person who I can't name was not very nice. So I won't be going back there again.

Great place for breakfast, brunch, properly cooked lunch or just a coffee. Especially the home-made cakes and pastries are excellent but all of the food is prepared with love. The staff is friendly and the interior is inviting to sit down and rest.

Description
The Cornerstone Cafe is based on the historic Royal Arsenal in Woolwich. Our aim is to provide a friendly, well designed cafe catering to the demands of the local residential and business community. To us this means great coffee, a wide variety of loose leaf teas and British made cold drinks. On the food front we make nearly 100% of our delicious food in house. We've a lovely deli section which can be eaten in or taken away throughout the day including many delicious cakes. We have cooked breakfasts through to 3pm and hot meals until 3pm. We do takeaway ready meals throughout the week (just need to heat up at home. At the weekend we do Brunch throughout the day on the Saturday and on Sundays until 3pm. Our menus are on the website. Free WIFI, child friendly and always ready to help. Cafe design by Paul Croft Studios.
