I work nearby and decided to treat myself to some home made burrata to have at lunchtime at work. It was amazing, you pay same as you do for the top of the range mozzarella in Waitrose but it tastes 10 times better.

Living very close, my boyfriend has been to Made in Italy on the King's Road a number of times and is very happy with the pizzas on offer there. I frequently walk past Mozzarella & More and have always been intrigued by 'home made mozzarella,...burratta etc'. I felt so strongly about my experience there tat I emailed the following comments to the restaurant and it's elder sister Made In Italy, expecting a response from what is part of a well-established group in London. Nothing. > > When we finally visited a week or so ago, the home-made burratta was very disappointing, almost without flavour, and the rest of the food was equally bland (crab linguine- no discernible chilli- and gnocchi, with a boring soup-like tomato sauce and the extremely disappointing burratta). I suspect a starter of calamari fritti was from the freezer and the olives were quite frankly horrible, a very poor offering from an Italian deli when compared to those on the menu for cheaper at other non-specialist restaurants. We gave dessert a miss, not wanting to risk ruining our magical memories of cannoli from a recent holiday in Sicily. > > Meanwhile the service, although the waitress was quite friendly, was extremely poor. We waited for a long time for our pasta- no wonder as the chef, who looked strained at his workload despite cooking for only three tables, was off embracing and chatting to another customer across the restaurant. While we were treated with ambivalence at best, the noisy and demanding table of four next to us were waited on hand and foot by the waitress who plied them with all manner of dishes to try from the deli while they waited for their pasta. When the pasta did arrive, as they were unsatisfied, she offered to have an alternative made. This blatant preferential treatment was very irritating. > > I paid the bill for roughly £65 feeling extremely disgruntled and disappointed by my experience at Mozzarella & More and will never visit it or Made in Italy again.More
The place is very nicely decorated and pleasant. This only got a 2 because the lady serving the take away lunch was so nice. In fairness I didn't order from the menu but from the take away section. I ordered a parmegiana which was heated...in a microwave. When I got back to my desk to eat it was awful. The pasta was like rubber and it left a horrible taste in my mouth. Sorry guys not recommended on that count. I will go back and order from the menu. Hopefully I won't be so disappointed.More
Mozarella and More is the sister restaurant of Made in Italy. It is a a fun place to eat and I would recommend it as its well priced and the food is tasty. However, I do prefer Made in Italy.
I went here after a disastrous experience at nearby Made in Italy (see my review on their page). This place is so much better by far -- prompt service, great food, great ambience, great seats and an enjoyable nice with a friendly smile. Won't go...back, because there are thousands of restaurants around London to get through first -- but if you're thinking about going, try it!More
We walked in on a late Saturday afternoon. The place was empty, bar for a couple of unhappy-looking staff (we gathered from their conversation that the restaurant is problematically understaffed) and looked sparkling clean. We ordered one scamorza starter, one chicken, one gnocchi and two...desserts. The first dishes took about 50 minutes to arrive, which was ok since we were conversing anyway; after which the orders arrived at a reasonable speed. The starter was nice but very oily; the chicken still pink-ish and the gnocchi drowned in very liquid sauce. The dessert were small but good. Two baskets of (admittedly delicious and home-made) bread costed us a staggering £3 each. The bill came at £80, service and mineral water included. I suppose it's King's Road prices. The service was slow and rather sullen. If you go there, have bread and cakes -- those were the best items on the menu. It wasn't a totally negative experience (well, we were hungry and we got fed, and the place was pleasantly quiet and spic-and-span) but I doubt I'll ever go back.More
We ate at this restaurant having just walked in without a reservation. It looked very cute and Italian, with a nice atmosphere. We both had one of the burrata dishes to start with, which was ok but needed a lot of seasoning, and the veal...ragu for main, which was also ok but just wasn't amazing. Service was fine but overall this restaurant was a little disappointing.More
We were attracted by the lunch deal - a main course, salad and drink for about £10 per person. The rice and pasta dishes in the chiller cabinet were heated in the microwave, but my wife had to send her's back as it was not...hot. The Manager left his assistant to sort this out, though he did say it was his fault - the dish was reheated but served on the same plate. The side salad comprised little more than a few lettuce leaves, rather unimaginative. The Manager presented us with the bill to which the 12% discretionary service charge had been added. We chose not to pay this - in the circumstances, we felt he should have waived it and let us decide whether to leave a tip. Our lunch was saved by the excellent glasses of wine that accompanied it. I was close to rating this restaurant as poor, but that would be harsh - a little more management oversight and panache and it would be very good or even better. Some reviewers clearly found this to be so. Do visit Mozzarella & More and I hope you really enjoy your meal.More
We stopped off here for a tapas type of lunch and that's what they delivered. We had plenty to share between the two of us and it was satisfying. The staff, very friendly and accommodating. The main courses that we saw coming from the kitchen...all looked lovely so I would probably go back for a main course. The only disappointment we experienced was no cheesecake or dessert without chocolate.More
We had a lovely evening, service was very friendly but a little bit slow. The food was good but the bill was quite expensive for what we had.
The interior is very attractive and the menu reads quite well, but doesn't deliver, in our view. Cheap ingredients, uninspiringly put together, sometimes over-salted left us feeling that we'd prefer to spend a bit more and get something better. Service was good, except for the...duty manager the evening we went, whose sincerity left a lot to be desired. Won't be going back.More
This restaurant could not have been more helpful. Travelling by myself I was turned away from the neighbouring restaurant as they would not serve a table for 1. The team here were lovely. I enjoyed excellent service, delicious food and the whole experience could not...have been more welcoming. I shall definitely be returning and have already recommended to friends and at the same time discouraged others from going to the less than friendly next door restaurant. Thank you mozzarella&more. I ll be back.More
We ate breakfast which we really enjoyed. They warm the croissants, the porridge is great and the coffee is yum! I just wished they served the coffee in bigger cups and served it slightly hotter. Wished we'd been around for dinner as they were preping...the sauces and they smelled delicious!More
We ate here with 3 small children for a Saturday late lunch. It was busy and buzzing. Really fresh, delicious food. Fresh-out-of-the-oven bruschetta, with a fresh, authentic piquante tomato sauce. Yum! The kids loved their fresh fruit smoothies and I loved my good coffee. However,...the service was awful. Some of the servers were friendly and cheerful but our main one was surly. Worse, all the service was incredibly slow. We immediately asked for bread and water for the starving kids, telling them this is what it was for. It didn't come for ages and we had to repeatedly ask for almost every dish and I had to send back one latte because it was lukewarm. Hopefully, it was just a dip in their usual standard because I'd really like to go back again despite the fact that it was pricey for the kind of dishes we ordered but the food was THAT good!More
Being a vegiatrian in London is a bit ristrictive, so the best option is to head out to an Italian joint at least one is sure to have couple of Pastas and pizza options that a Veg! Good food decent wine, aptly priced, and having...travelled to Italy right after London , The food was pretty genuine and the look is very Italian deli like.
