Quite an experience and even though I'm not the greatest fan of miniscule designer food. the overall experience here is very impressive. When we went, there were more staff in the open kitchen than customers. Great service, delicious highly crafted food, small portion "tasting" style...menu and high/ top end prices.More

I decided I wanted to treat myself to a nice lunch as part of my staycation holiday. The Clove Club proved the prefect way to do so. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the food was great. I had the 9 course tasting menu...but did not do the wine pairing as I had plans later in the evening. I would definitely come back again for dinner with friends.More

As an overall dining experience the clove club is one of the best we have ever had hands down. From the minute we walked in we were made to feel very special. And whilst obviously attentive service comes as standard in Michelin star rated establishments...The Clove Club had an edge over every other Michelin establishment we have visited. It’s the little touches such as staff making general conversation and taking interest rather than just going through the standard service motions. And this went for every member of staff that dealt wit us, all were amazing and helped to make it a very special meal out. The dining room itself it’s very nicely situated, very nice decor, and best of all has an open kitchen so if you are lucky enough to be appointed the table facing the kitchen as we were ( and very grateful for indeed) you get to witness a Michelin star kitchen in full service flow which is fascinating to watch, especially with such a great team that appear to work very closely and well together eh eat with military like precision. Now the food. Again as with everything else already mentioned, it was outstanding. Every course was a delight in its own individual way, all had amazing elements brought together to give your palette an amazing culinary experience. The menu was also very well thought out, every course having its place and complimenting the courses that preceded then and were to follow. Further to that showing how great the food was I am very fussy with fish courses in general in respects to my enjoyment of them, they have to be pretty special for me to enjoy them. The menu today was predominantly fish dishes and every dish impressed me which takes some doing. Also have to throw out a special mention to the Loquat Sorbet course which is the best dessert course I think I’ve ever had, outrageously good. What else is there to say? Just go and don’t hesitate. Well deserved number 27 spot on the top 50 restaurants list, could easily be higher, same goes for its star rating too, felt like a 3 star. Final mentions are a thanks to the whole team for allowing us to take a photo with the kitchen team at the end, lovely touch. And I loved the old school bathrooms.More

We visited the Clove Club for the first time recently and tried their tasting menu, paired with the non-alcoholic drink option. Firstly, the staff were really lovely, super attentive, friendly, and helpful. The location is in the middle of Shoreditch, which has really gone downhill...recently, but the Clove Club is very quiet and comfortable. In terms of the food, it was decent but nothing near the quality of other high-end restaurants we've eaten at, and the non-alcoholic pairing was mediocre at best, with some of the drinks coming from cans - we expected bespoke non-alcoholic cocktails, rather than pre-made cans of drink. The drinks were also given to us between courses, rather than with them, which kind of ruined the point of pairing them in the first place. The meal took 3.5 hours to finish, which was quite frankly ridiculous? There was so much space left between each course that halfway through we were already ready to leave. Other tasting menus we've had usually take 1.5-2 hours, 3.5 hours is super excessive and unnecessary. The bill at the end was around £460 for 2 people including a couple of extra drinks, which although we were aware of the price when we booked, seemed overly high considering the quality of the food and drink, and the immense wait between courses. I would have been happy to pay more like £200 in total for that quality of food. Other tasting menus we've had have been £100-£150 per person including a couple of non-alcoholic drinks, and have tasted twice as nice. I wouldn't recommend the Clove Club if you'd like somewhere fancy to eat, it seems more of a place you take people to flash your cash rather than actually experience the level of quality that you get when you pay this sort of price for a meal.More

Wow - I felt utterly spoilt at The Clove Club. The restaurant is cosy and welcoming, with tasteful decor and a gentle atmosphere. My friend and I ordered the set menu for £65 and were blown away at how delicious, and filling the experience was....The little appetisers were interesting and introduced us to amazing flavours - highlights were battered pollock, herb soup and raddish with a trout mayo. Highly recommend the cheese to finish with the port jelly - an incredible plate of a wide range of flavours. I would love to come back and would highly recommend. A stunning lunch that I will remember forever for under £100. Thank you CC!More

Such a great experience. Being the first table in front of the kitchen was very special as we felt in the middle of a ballet scene. The food was so great, everything was cooked perfectly and the flavours on spot. Personal favorite: the sardine. I...will remember it. Service was impeccable with very attentive staff. If you have a special occasion, don’t hesitate to go, definitely one of the best restaurants in London!More

Really enjoyed our meal here. All the food was fantastic although not all to my taste. The service was attentive but not intrusive. The only negative would be the wait between some courses was very long however we were offered a complimentary beetroot juice. We...ended up leaving just before the last course as it had been nearly 3 hours but they bagged it for us so we enjoyed at homeMore

The 9 course menu is £110 , however you get 3 snacks before so it really is a 12 course meal , not too much food and because of the quality of everything I rate it as good value . I hope you find this helpful.
