Great atmosphere at lunchtime when we visited. Pre-starter of clams to share was delicious, starters of smoked trout and smoked salmon nicely presented. Main courses of whole crab and grey mullet were great too, and we were recommended a bottle of white wine from the Basque region which was delicious. Service was friendly and efficient, we will definitely be returning.

You MUST make reservations in advance. It seats only 26 people but is more than worth it. We had the oysters which were fresh and very flavorful. The bread was great but could have been warm. Cockles was a great order for an appetizer as they were served in a small bowl with a hearty hunk of bread. We had... More

We were looking forward to visiting given the good reviews but were a little disappointed when we visited with my son and his fiancee. The staff were very friendly and there was a warm atmosphere but it did feel a little cramped and the chair were a bit uncomfortable. Starters were amazing - my smoked salmon dish was wonderful. Everybody... More

Great food & wine matched by excellent service. We started with five different kinds of oyster - all delicious - followed by four fish dishes: hake, brill, monkfish and cod. They were all beautifully prepared with great sides. Bonnie Gull calls itself "a seafood shack" and "a seaside restaurant in the city". I couldn't have put it better!

We were celebrating my mother's 70th birthday and she is a pescetarian. I had visited Bonnie Gull 3 years prior and very much enjoyed it then. As such, I happily booked a table at Bonnie Gull. The staff were attentive, the service efficient, and the food excellent. What's more: when I mentioned in advance it was my mum's birthday they... More

After having one of the best fish and chips I have eaten with a bottle of Old Engine Oil two years ago decided to come back after a long awaited return. Ordered the whole crab and have to say I was not impressed at all. As others have said the brown crab meat in the dish comes in this bizarre... More

This review is overdue but better late than never. We were in London in October and thought we would try Bonnie Gull's (on Foley) for lunch - we were lucky to be able to walk in for a late lunch, and it was excellent - we had the tempura oysters, which was simply the best seafood starter I think I...
