Had a groupon to come here so thought we would use it on a Saturday evening. It took quite a while from when we were seated for them to come over and give us menus. I ordered a rocket salad to start. I was given a bowl of salad and then olive oil and other seasoning to season it myself... More

My husband & I popped in here on the off chance, we have often driven past . It's a lovely, classic Italian restaurant. The decor is very nice, the waitress was very sweet & attentive & the food really was first class. My seafood linguine was delicious. The only down side was, we were the only ones in the restaurant... More

Well, we ate pizza here because we looked at italian near our house. But I've got this weird feeling from the moment I put my foot in that something is going terribly wrong in this place and I was right. We arrived; somebody welcomed us. Inside was half empty. There is this strange man unable communicate in english, kept hanging... More

We had been to this restaurant a couple of years ago and had an excellent meal, with a live pianist to entertain. We arranged to visit again last night, only to find it was under new management. The waitress was very attentive, but we feel it was let down by the slow kitchen service. Plus, when our starter came, we... More

We ordered a fish dish and a lasagna with a bunch of sides and asked the restaurant to substitute the boiled potatoes served with the seabass for mashed. The food was delivered with no potatoes with the fish. A call to the restaurant was initially met with the response that mash would be sent straight away. When it didn't arrive... More

We hadn't realised the previous manager had left in January and booked via the website (which I got the impression they didn't have access to given the look on the waitresses face) Then still not realising we were dealing with a new team I mentioned that I am gluten free and that is where the wheels came off. Apparently the... More

Had a wowcher offer for 3 course meal with wine. We could choose anything from the menu. Friend and I chose the prawns but these were not available! We then followed with main course as pasta. Passable but would have expected better from an Italian restaurant. Then came the dessert menu with around 6 choices but apparently only the sticky... More

We really enjoyed our dinner at Villa Toscana. It's a really friendly place with lovely food, even if some of the menu choices aren't all that authentic - for example, the sticky toffee pudding which I had for dessert! The chef is happy to adapt dishes to suit customer's requirements, which is always a bonus for me because I have... More
