3 is unfair really given the triumvirate that make this place what it is. A great cafe, the restaurant and the shop. Food is good and authentic. Prices inexpensive. For what it promises and delivers it's a 5, but most wouldn't bother because it doesn't look the prt under the railway arches.

I have been in Casa Madeira a few times at lunch time and they weren't so approachable as Saturday at dinner. W Saturday night I consider that is the best day to do and have dinner with a festive and happy atmosphere! Is a bit expensive! music

Value for money is great. Real Madeiran hospitality and really good English breakfast. Tough combo to beat. The manager is super friendly as are the staff and they make a real cup of coffee, which is rare. Good pasteis de nata too. Go!

I don't know what I'm missing but my experience of eating here was just awful. Mass catering blandness. Thought we'd try limpets to start. That was a mistake. They're genuinely awful and I can't understand anyone actually wanting to eat them (unless they're the only thing available and you're shipwrecked on a deserted island). They came out in the pan... My friend brought me over there for lunch and it was the best surprise ever. We were in the restaurant. Food is just succulent. Home made, fresh, big quantity, wine is so good. It's also cheap. Management and staff are so friendly and polite. Really good surprise.

Always entertaining when they ask if you've booked and try and find you a table in a virtually deserted restaurant. A troop of eight colleagues fancied a Tuesday night feed under the rails of the Victoria Line, so rocked up here. There service was friendly though the waiter was a little too eager to top up the wine glasses (I.e.... More

Amongst the coffee shops of Vauxhall, this has probably the second best coffee and the first best breakfast. It's reasonably priced and if you actually engage with the grumpy appearing waiter, he's a very friendly chap. Don't bother with poached eggs on toast (snotty but hard yolks, quite an achievement) or scrambled eggs (clearly powdered) but go for the Brunch... More

We had just come back from a holiday in Madeira and found the food here really authentically Maderian. The dishes are tasty and very good size. Particularly enjoyed the prawns, salted cod and calamari. The staff were friendly and helpful. We also like the Brazilian dance music being played and lots of people including us got up to dance.
