Been for supper twice recently. Unpretentious pub food. Have enjoyed fish pie and fish and chips. London beer.

This is a local pub, we called in twice on our way back to our hotel. On the first occasion I found the barmaid very rude, my husband ordered a pint of cider, then gave me his wallet to order my drink while he went to the loo. I asked for a Bacardi and coke, she asked if I wanted... More

The Marquis of Granby is a pub with a restaurant upstairs situated near the Houses of Parliament. This was one of reasons why we chose it although we didn't see any famous faces. The pub was busy but I was able to find a seat while I waited for my friend. The beer was good. There were menus on the... More

They didn't have our booking as someone downstairs didn't speak to upstairs, though we got a table ok. Service was pretty good and the chips were excellent though the chicken in the burger was slightly overdone. The pub itself is nice and the place is clean.

Found the place because it was very near to the hotel we were staying at, nice surroundings in a traditional pub. Ordered our drinks in the downstairs bar then after looking at the menu, we decided to sit upstairs. Our party of four opted for 3 sausage sandwiches and 1 fish finger sandwich all were accompanied with 3 times fried... More

After a long day of meetings I had decided to just go back to the DoubleTree hotel for a late dinner and beer. But fortunately this little neighborhood pub was on the walk back from the Westminster Underground station. Very much enjoyed the food and beer. The ambience is a bit plan compared to other London pubs but the friendly... More

We had a visit here for dinner. Sadly they didn't have the beef pie anymore. We ordered a chicken pie and a fish'n'chips instead. The chicken was good, but fish 'n' chips was not. Very crispy outside but was very thin, a bit over cooked and not really tasty. However the service was very good. We had been well cared... More

Very busy on a Friday with all the city workers spilling out for drinks. Decent range of beers and amazing homemade crisps!. Nice atmosphere with lots of groups talking. Prices are very reasonable for London. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The homemade salsa flavoured crisps were absolutely amazing, I mean really amazing!! Worth a visit with plenty of eateries... More

Had a lovely trip to London with the wife for our wedding anniversary, we managed to stumble upon the marquis of granby where we were welcomed by a very humble Peter. The service was great the drinks were crisp and the hospitality from Peter was amazing! Loved the pub and will be back again very soon!

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
