This was our first port of call for our new Year's celebrations, it was also our last stop before going to the fireworks. What an absolute little treasure of a pub. The doorman (mike?) was a laugh. The lady in charge that night was a credit to the pub. Very welcoming easy to get a long with so down to... More

Nice English pub with good selection of traditional beers and food. Lots of pies on offer, but the fryer was broken when we where there so food selection limited. Friendly staff. Closes a bit early if your used to late night bars.

Found while walking to our hotel Double Trees by Hilton. The assorted gins and tonics were everywhere. As I had never had gin I asked the bar tender his recommendation and was given 5 minute run down of the menu and the gins and tonic combinations. I chose a rhubarb one very enjoyable ( the tonic not my cuppa). Beers... More

Visited here on a lunch time. The pub has a real nice cosy feel to it. The staff were pleasant and the prices reasonable. Although we didn't eat, the menu looked good, will definitely visit again

Been for supper twice recently. Unpretentious pub food. Have enjoyed fish pie and fish and chips. London beer.

This is a local pub, we called in twice on our way back to our hotel. On the first occasion I found the barmaid very rude, my husband ordered a pint of cider, then gave me his wallet to order my drink while he went to the loo. I asked for a Bacardi and coke, she asked if I wanted... More

The Marquis of Granby is a pub with a restaurant upstairs situated near the Houses of Parliament. This was one of reasons why we chose it although we didn't see any famous faces. The pub was busy but I was able to find a seat while I waited for my friend. The beer was good. There were menus on the... More

They didn't have our booking as someone downstairs didn't speak to upstairs, though we got a table ok. Service was pretty good and the chips were excellent though the chicken in the burger was slightly overdone. The pub itself is nice and the place is clean.

Found the place because it was very near to the hotel we were staying at, nice surroundings in a traditional pub. Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
