We had lunch here on Saturday before seeing Part 1 of the Cursed Child. The pub is right next door to the Palace Theatre. We got here around 11:30 and the menu says they start serving food at 12, but we were able to order before then. I had the full English breakfast which was one of the best pub... More

The Spice of Life has been one of my favourite London pubs for many years and it's never let me down. Popped in recently for excellent fish & chips, not cheap but a perfectly fair price for the quality. Staff are friendly and genuinely seem to care about what they're doing. The Spice also has a great basement bar featuring... More

This pub is within spitting distance of the Palace theatre. We visited the theatre for a show and had an extended break between parts 1 and 2. Popped into The Spice of Life for some food. We were quite a large group but after a short wait they found us a table. Menu is small but varied so there is... More

This pub is located just opposite to Palace Theatre. The atmosphere is great and unlike most pubs in the theatre district, they also have a small terrace. It is also not part of the usual pub chains you will find around the country.

Traveler from Boston staying in the area. Great pub and spot for pints with friends. Location is great and a cool pub to chill in. Wood/amber decor and typical pub feel that I expected. Staff was friendly and beer on tap was good and priced accordingly. Would visit again.

We called in to this pub after seeing a play but it was still early, around 9.45pm. It might be important to state that we are not tourists, we live in London. We stood at the bar for a long time waiting to be served, when it wasn't particularly busy, with bar staff looking at us occasionally, one guy even... More

We went by chance to our first pub after 2 & 1/2 hr train journey... We saw the Tuesday burger and drink offer £10! Nice white wine not a cheap taste and other half had Defiant beer after samples of all on offer. Really nice burger lots to choose from. A good environment in pub. We went back 2 days... More

Pre theatre food and drinks, great halloumi and sweet potato burger and fries, with a decent range of ales, at a reasonable price. Plenty of tables and space.

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
