We liked the look and ambiance of this restaurant, had an aura of a restaurant from a bygone era .Shame about the food , and sporadic service .I can cope with inflated prices if the food is top notch , but on our experience it was second class , served in a sloppy manner , with no real interest to... I visited one cold and dreary Saturday in January for a birthday treat. The experience was a delight from beginning to end, with the sort of exceptional service you hope for in an establishment like this. The food was very good, and interesting because of the Viennese angle. We were warm, well looked after and absolutely stuffed by the end.... More

the ambiance and decoration are lovely. the food is delicious, the service can be a bit chaotic though but it did not really impact us. we loved it so much we did the brunch the following morning which was very good as well. their website is also very easy to use for booking.

The Grand Café style with a bubbly atmosphere and very professional and numerous staff. One of my favorites. Early 20th century style in a modern and up to date restaurant, the food is not "celebrity chef" level but it is professionally cooked and elegantly served in a large hubbub of a dining room that would suit Poirot or the Third... I have been here yesterday and had a lovely brunch. Eggs were lovely as well as the viennoseries basket. Service was kind and careful. Recommend this place for brunch

Always great for brunch/breakfast and not as busy as other times of the day. The atmosphere/setting is great, very opulent and the food is delicious. We had a good choice of teas, finger sandwiches and cakes. They were happy to cater for one pescatarian and a vegetarian. The food was delicate and delicious.T hank you to all at the restaurant... I had failed to get a table at our usual Covent Garden restaurant so booked The Delaunay in some trepidation. What a find! The atmosphere is very pleasant. Having never been to Vienna, it is my idea of what a Viennese restaurant would be like. All dark wood and mirrors. We just loved it. The standard is top notch, the... More

This was the first time I had dinner at the Delaunay. I have been for a breakfast a couple times and found it good so was looking forward to dinner. Good extensive menu with a three or four choices of fish dishes which I always like. Food was good and the staff were very attentive. It has quite a formal... More

Having had breakfast here on multiple occasions and also lunch, I can always be assured of a very decent meal in a beautiful restaurant with very attentive and helpful staff. Afternoon tea is also good here, maybe slightly different but we enjoyed it.

Lovely doorman....after that it all went downhill unfortunately. £15 for a small, badly prepared champagne cocktail. It isn't rocket science to make a decent Kir Royale. A table with a staff console inches from our heads where they kept bringing dirty plates. Service was really bad and slow and I had to constantly keep asking for items that were missing... More

Very much in the European Grand Café tradition, the menus range from breakfasts, brunch on Saturdays & Sundays, all-day snacks, coffees, afternoon teas, sandwiches, platters of crustacea, ice-cream coupes, patisserie and cakes, and a full à la carte, with a daily changing plat du jour and an extensive selection of schnitzels and Wieners.
