A chilly, windy night and we were walking up aldwych feeling scratchy and irritable, bickering over a show we’d just seen (husband loved it, I hated it!). Food, wine and cosseting were needed. We dropped into the Delaunay on spec and immediately relaxed. A warm...More

Same stable as the Colbert Restaurant but The Delauny is soooo much better. The tables are near but you have your privacy and aren't on top of each other. The service is slick and professional and the menu suits everyone. A lovely evening before we...More

Always busy for breakfast yet the service is good and relatively attentive. A good range of tasty items to choose from on the menu including a range of healthy options. Potato Rosti with fried eggs and a side order of bacon was indulgent but wonderful....More

We love this restaurant, are frequent visitors, ( especially my husband for business breakfasts). We went on Saturday for an impromptu breakfast and the service was outstanding. Friendly and chatty without being imposing, nothing was too much trouble and my husband’s regular custom did not...More

The menu is quirky but fun to explore. I often opt for the Tagstellar, which at £20.50 is a nice bargain for dishes offered as specials of the day, which can include ribs or chicken Kiev. This time I chose the sea trout, and it...More

We arrived at 12.30 on Saturday 7th April and the dining area was packed, bustling with people and the atmosphere was very upbeat. People there were very elegantly dressed although some people were wearing jeans and so they may not have felt entirely comfortable. So,...More

Sorry, can't help as we don't drink much wine, but recently a three course dinner for four of us with three beers cost around £230 excluding service. It was worth every penny.

Very much in the European Grand Café tradition, the menus range from breakfasts, brunch on Saturdays & Sundays, all-day snacks, coffees, afternoon teas, sandwiches, platters of crustacea, ice-cream coupes, patisserie and cakes, and a full à la carte, with a daily changing plat du jour and an extensive selection of schnitzels and Wieners.
