Great service, great food, good wine list. Good ambience and clientele. Great for pre theatre, business, couples or friends. Average age group is 50 + but frankly would suit any age group. A hidden London gem. Recommend Bourginon and weinersnitzal.....with spelling atrocities on the side...More

This restaurant was recommended to us. It is a beautiful restaurant and the service by our Ukrainian and Angolan waiters was excellent. Our salad and soup was good. Our table and the atmosphere was wonderful. I had called to make changes to reservations on two...More

I wandered past this beautiful building and decided to stop for lunch. The food was awful, the staff were slow, miserable and uninterested. The very worst part of it was the cake I had for dessert demonstrating nothing short of culinary incompetence. Clearly they were...More

Although the beautifully dressed Viennese-style setting almost convinces you that you are in a pre WW2 Mittel European bistro, and the majority of the walk on clientele play their parts well, being well-suited and booted and seemingly engaged in elevated discourse (politics? arts? the Kaiser's...More

Met with friends. Interesting menu with a German theme (I'm assuming!) - quite different but tasty and satisfying. The puddings were quite steep in price at about £8-9 each but they were lovely. I would imagine the surroundings are perfect for afternoon tea. It's very...More

Cab, if you don't know where you are going should cost about £5 from Covent Gareden tube, or if you are in high heels. Otherwise, it's about a 6 minute walk from Covent Gareden tube. Hope it helps.

Very much in the European Grand Café tradition, the menus range from breakfasts, brunch on Saturdays & Sundays, all-day snacks, coffees, afternoon teas, sandwiches, platters of crustacea, ice-cream coupes, patisserie and cakes, and a full à la carte, with a daily changing plat du jour and an extensive selection of schnitzels and Wieners.
