The waiter was actively impolite. After he punched my chair while passing by for the 10th time I realized, I just wasn't welcome there. Maybe because I came alone and my bill would supposedly be short. Food, on the other hand, was quite nice.

we went early on a Monday evening, no booking required, but it was getting busier by 6:30pm

I'm not an vegetarian however there seemed to be a good selection of vegetable choices as we also had a couple with our meal selection
