The food was fantastic as were the staff, tailoring their style to the way the customers liked to interact. The ups are the exceptional dishes with a slightly disappointing cheese selection which offered little in the way of diverse flavour. Other than that the crab and pork were fantastic. The downs were the fact that the toilets were not particularly... More

We dined here on the 5th February. We wanted to have a traditional English Sunday Roast whilst in London. We read that The Gilbert Scott had a special 3 course Sunday Roast Menu on offer. As we were staying at the St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel it was a very convenient location. The ambience was wonderful, the service was mediocre. The... More

Location is perfect especially when you have a train to catch and do not want to feel stressed. Food is ok not spectacular. There are vegetarian offers. Service is good. Atmosphere is lovely.

A fantastic restaurant and value for money. This was booked for lunch for a treat for my husband. Food great staff great and nothing too much for them. They really took good care of me with my lactose allergy. My hubby even got a little birthday treat. Really worth going if you are thinking about it.

I told them about my food allergy and they took great care of me. Also a little birthday treat for my hubby. Very good value for money.

We had booked an offer of £30 per person for 3 courses and a cocktail. There was no choice of cocktail but that wasn't a problem as the one available was lovely. We sat in the bar before being taken through to the restaurant, both were busy. There was a pianist in the restaurant which added to the atmosphere. The... More

So disappointed with the food, all presentation over substance and flavour. I had the Dorset crab which was tiny, covered in mayo on top of apples and other tiny vegetables. It tasted really watery and bland. My main of roast brill was over cooked and the sauces were overpowering whilst the ravioli was pretty tasteless. London is full of great... More

Had a great Sunday lunch at the Gilbert Scott kings cross. It's a really beautiful dining room and the food didn't disappoint. I went for the al a carte dishes off crab starter and crispy pork belly while my partner opted for the torched mackerel and traditional roast beef. All dishes were nicely presented and were really flavoursome ,service was... More

I don't know where to start. As soon as we step in, we felt welcomed. Our waiter of the night, Marco, made our night special, by making sure that everything was spot on. We had the set menu with the three courses, i had the trout and the mackerel for my girlfriend and a loveley sea bream as a main.... More
