So many of the teas in London can be so expensive, but at Soho's Secret Tea Room you get all the charm of a small, "secret" tea room (it really is hard to find) with good scones, sandwiches, and desserts at a reasonable price! They have a variety of desserts to pick from and teas. The service is decent and... More

Having had many afternoon teas across London I was very excited to try something a little more quaint and cute. I took my mum here for a treat when she came to visit and quite frankly I was embarrassed. The sandwiches were bad. I had a humous and beetroot sandwich?! But no sign of traditional cucumber, cheese or salmon! The... More

Sandwiches (pre-made and stored in fridge), scones & cakes were good and portion sizes reasonable although selection was limited and sandwiches (2 of each) are just cream cheese, cucumber and egg mayonnaise. Chipped and dirty tea cup. Totally unprofessional waitresses (except one who was very sweet) and no manager in sight. We asked for the 'rose tea' (which was recommended)... More

Originally tried to book a table for 2pm, but were allocated 2.10pm & when we turned up the place was basically empty! Food ok, despite a wait of 30 minutes for a pot of tea and pre-made sandwiches and cake. Was disappointed that when our plates had been cleared, the tab was placed on the table, even though we'd not... More

Food was perfect, atmosphere delightful and all brought together by a mystical charm. Whisked into the eves of the building, we were welcomed by a friendly feline, and entered a room of nostalgic adventure. The food was delicious(especially the tofush and chips) but the service left something to be desired. However this was remedied as they gave us a hefty... More

My wife and I has booked an afternoon tea for our first day in London and choose the Soho Secret Tea Room due to its intrigue and wonderful location. The tea room is upstairs from a wonderful vegan friendly pub and was well worth the visit. We loved the traditional tea room setting along with the wonderful traditional English Tea... More

Arrived to a quaint and busy looking tea room; so far so good. Experienced grumpy staff who were stood around chatting, poorly looking after us. Selection of cakes were poor, although the vegans and those who are gluten free were catered for but those who aren't intolerant to anything were left with the dregs of cakes. No chocolate cake, or... More

Great London find! The tea room is located upstairs of the bar and even the entrance is concealed! Great selection of teas and cakes! It's frill-free and everything is served on porcelain dishware. Service is attentive! Local gem!

Friendly staff and tasty cakes, sandwiches and scones. We ordered prosecco which was a nice touch. With a little better organising this place could be even better they just need to get some preparation done. We waited ages for our cakes etc yet they knew we were coming. Staff lovely just a bit slow. Toilets downstairs in pub awful really... More

A quaint little tea room above a pub in the bustling SOHO area. Definitely worth the struggle in trying to find it! The class tea was delicious and included scones, cakes, and finger sandwhiches in addition to a pot of tea. Could not have been mroe pleased.

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
