Great venue and location the food was great, however the service was not great the waiters were rude and did not make us feel welcome, which is a shame, but I will admit we came in about an hour and a half before closing so I feel as though the staff wanted to go home which came across in their... Went at 6pm on Thursday evening on a hot day. Great view of the Thames from our table and the food was well presented and the menu was interesting. Reasonable value considering the modest size of the portions. Would go again.

This is the first time I've worked away on my own and had to eat alone, the staff here were fantastic and so friendly I didn't fee uncomfortable at all! And the view helped. Will certainly come back! One of the employees Daler was particularly helpful and friendly. 5*

Was greeted by a member of staff who explained that, for some reason, there were no pasta dishes that day. Decided to stay because I was really hungry. Had a Pollo Rosso Rustica Pizza and it was delicious. Don't know if they were short staffed the day I went in but they would have benefited from at least one more... More

I'm going to this restaurant a few times a month for my lunch. It's one of my favorites for a quality pizza or lunch overall. The service is fast but too often there is some mistake on the order (missing ingredients asked as extra topping or minor order mistakes). Overall highly suggested and the boots close to the glass give... More

Excellent service from our lovely waiter, felt so unwelcome by the rude manager, booked a table for 4 at 7.30pm with Taste card when we mention that to the Manager he looked very bad at us and told us to wait 5 min until our table will be ready, as we never used taste card before we asked how it... Staff were great, food was delicious and at a good price for London. Only negative is the dessert, the scoop of ice cream with the cake was more like half a spoonful.

We visit this restaurant every time we visit London and the service and the food is consistently good. We felt a little rushed this time as we had not booked when we visited on a Friday evening and we were told we could have a table but that they would need it in one and a half hours. This said,... At Zizzi we like to do things a little differently. We don’t do over-complicated recipes or scrimpy portion sizes. We’re all about the well-chosen ingredients, simply put together to make exceptional Italian food.Just a short walk from the famous Globe Theatre, our Bankside restaurant offers a nice rest for the weary London sightseers and stunning river views while you dine. The illustrations decorating the walls throughout the restaurant were inspired by the surrounding area - a hub of urban skateboard culture that involves spirit, music and fashion, illustrated by the artist Matthew Brooks. Look out for loads of other interesting details including skateboard decks, modern art and vespa scooters.

Staying in Southwark

Neighbourhood Profile
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighbourhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
