This restaurant was fine. The food was decent but really did not live up to the hype we had heard about. The atmosphere is ok for a business lunch.

Food was amazing and the view superb, just in front of St. Pauls cathedral. We had a lovely birthday lunch and our server Antonio was very helpful. Would definitely recommend.

My partner took me here for a surprise birthday dinner. Our First impression of the place: it is romantic and cosy. The staff are friendly and the service was impeccable. Our server, named Louise, was extremely knowledgable of the menu, helpful, made excellent suggestions and could not have provided better service. If you come here definitely ask for Louise to... Great views over St. Pauls. Good venue for a team Xmas lunch. Great steaks and also good options for vegetarians or those who would rather not have steak. Certainly a step up from a Jamie's Italian! Nice clean, modern styling and the floor to ceiling windows give a great feeling of space.

My wife and I went to Barbecoa for our anniversary meal. Steak and cocktails were superb but overall experience not as good as we had expected and hoped. The welcome and first impression is first class. The range and advice from the bar staff on a cocktail was a nice touch. Cocktails were not too expensive either. We were booked... More

Obviously an incredibly meat focused restaurant, full of those who work in the City. Food is good and the view of St Paul's is impressive. A nice place for couples/business meetings or dinner with friends.

Had dinner here with my parents, staff was very helpful and kind. We asked for some changes at one meal and had no problem. Place is very clean and cool, modern style, beautiful view!

View excellent for out of town clients or visitors. "Cheaper" wines heavily over priced. Go for the Ridge for less of a mark up in %age terms... 300 quid for the '98 Monte Bello seemed fairly reasonable and drank very well. Food is solid but unremarkable. Staff pretty good, very accommodating in fact.

More of a plea due to hearing Jamie's closing some of his restaurants. Please don't take this away, it's amazing! If expand don't loose the quality. The servers are so incredibly lovely and attentive every time we've been here. Great food and to standard, wine choices are awesome and very knowledgable service. Beautiful views of St. Paul's. This place you... More

Another Jamie O establishment so I had a view on what to expect but this one shot was beyond. Meat eaters paradise as you would expect (vegetarians give it a miss) - all excellent. Sides great and a fab wine list - a great range of Tuscan treats in particular. Try it!

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
