Amazing steaks, cooked to perfection, with sides to die for. Ribeye is best if the steaks and the tunworth mash is something very special. If I was looking for something to improve- the starters could do with something new but I’m being super critical here

Treated ourselves as we should have been in Madrid but due to Covid-19, best laid plans etc. So chose to eat here, booked earlier in week. All social distancing measures in place. Restaurant was absolutely buzzing, great atmosphere and fantastic food. Chateaubriand and Porterhouse cooked...to perfection. Decent Wine by the carafe and great service. Sticky toffee pudding for dessert divine. We come back time after time and it never fails to deliver.More

I remember visiting Hawksmoor when it first opened in the East End, back in 2006, and having it go straight into my top 10 steaks I've ever eaten - but moved out of London shortly afterwards and never managed to get back there. Had occasion...to visit this branch of a now sprawling chain recently and was bitterly disappointed by the experience. The service was good but it felt very much like they were following a formula; the room itself was dark and unbearably noisy (we could hardly hear ourselves think and had to shout our orders at the waiting staff) but worst of all was the steak. I ordered the rib eye medium rare, my favourite cut, but it was cooked almost to medium and was so salty I could hardly eat it. I would have sent it back but I was at a friend's birthday party and didn't want to spoil the occasion. The 'beef dripping fries' were frankly indistinguishable from McDonald's and cost the best part of a fiver as did a few lettuce leaves described as a salad. My share of the bill came to nearly £100 - on the first visit the high prices felt completely justified but this just seemed like a rip-off. I guess there are two sorts of restaurant; those run by people who care about food and want to give their customers the best possible experience and those that just want to make as much money as possible; Hawksmoor has sadly become the latter.More

Dear guest, We are so sad to hear that we have failed to deliver great food and experience. It sounds like the food and hospitality you received on the day fell way short of our usual high standards. Our food is the highlight of what...More

Amazing!!! Unreal food and our waitress was so attentive! After having poor service all day in london, this place was something else. I would go back here anyday. The steak was cooked to perfection and the cheesy mash was also just perfect! Worth every penny.

Whilst not the perfect steak, Hawksmoor did deliver an amazing piece of Rib eye cooked appropriately. The cut was just fatty and juicy enough, however the medium i ordered was a little overdone and transitioned to medium-well which is a bit of a bummer. The...bone marrow is amazing, their chips is also fantastic. Service is pretty good, however the dark ambience made it a bit difficult to see. T'was fine, but i've had better!More

Probably the best steak I have ever had. Cooked to perfection and we could even taste the aged wood it was aged in. We were so impressed we had a chance to speak to the chef and he explained the whole process from farm to...table. If you like steaks you have to visit Hawksmoor.More

We frequently go to Hawksmoor on special occasions and didn’t disappoint here at Seven Dials. Mara, our host was superb and even arranged a special birthday dessert free of charge. Please give her a pay rise!

We had a lovely evening at Hawksmoor, as always the service was excellent even though they were really busy. I ordered scallops to start which were the best I’ve ever tasted followed by fillet steak creamed spinach and fries. It was heartening to see how...the restaurant have remained so busy following the pandemic and is testimony to the lovely staff and wonderful food. We all felt totally full and very happy when we left.More

This was our first time dining at this restaurant and as it was intended to be a pre-theatre lunch we chose the 2 / 3 course (express) set menu. I'm really glad we did this, restaurant decor is very nice, the food was very well...prepared and tasted great and our server was very efficient. An absolute bargain at £23 for 3 courses! We will definitely return when we are next in the vicinity of Seven Dials.More
