Great food: I couldn't stop even when I was full and we still took some home. We do try some other Brick Lane places but every other time return to Bengal Village. Reading other comments I presume that people who don't enjoy the food might know authentic flavours, however, Indian, Bengal, Bangladeshi and other similar cuisines are new to me... More

We ate here last night and although the staff were pleasent the food was just ok, really nothing special. Our local Indian restaurant serves far better quality food. I think Brick Lane is a victim of its own success and has lost the nature it's success was built on. Disappointing.

I have been going to Brick Lane for over 25 years and have seen a lot of changes. I am now of the belief that there are far better curry restaurants outside of the area. At present it is like walking through a Turkish holiday resort, with people trying to get you into their establishment with all sorts of ludicrous... More

It's valentines, me and the Mrs have enjoyed a day out in bricklane and Shoreditch's vibrant atmosphere. Cocktails may of got the best of us during the day however a traditional Indian is the best way to sober up. We walked past many resturants all trying to get us in to eat, like a despert used car salesman 1 car... More

After a few beers locally arrived to a warm greeting at this recommended Indian restaurant. Service was fast and efficient with drinks arriving quickly. Meal order taken and a variety of dishes arrived piping hot and extremely tasty. Everyone stated their food was very good, no complaints. I had the King Prawn Dansak which was just nicely hot (spice wise)... More

Almost all Indian restaurants on this street offer you 20% to lure you in their restaurant. The service was great. Curry was tasty and flavorful. £21 for 2 main, rice And 2 garlic naan. Would return.

Quite competitive to select a restaurant as the sales reps out the front all try to better the deal - free drink, 20% off etc. We chose this restaurant as most of the choices have couples seated close to other couples with 30 cm between. The sales rep persuaded us with the table at the front window which was very... More

Well the touts work hard to get you in and then the food is on. Service was extremely poor - initially being badgered to order starters with mains two times. Then when I asked where the mains were I was told that the starters had only just been eaten when it had been over half an hour and they were... More
