I have visited this pub many times over the years, but mostly have arrived mid-afternoon after dining elsewhere. However on this occasion we wanted a change and resolved to visit at noon which is the opening time. There is a small and hence fresh food...More

We've eaten here a few times for lunch with work and always have a good experience. Food portions are large, there's a friendly atmosphere and the outdoor space is ideal in summer for a beer in the sun.

Mid week lunch time visit.... Saw recommendation on FB for the Art Deco features... Beer poor... Staff ok. Nobody eating so we didn't bother. Worth the de tour...No. If you know your beers don't bother.

Having visited this pub in January 2017 just for a drink I thought it would be a great place to bring our friends for our annual Christmas meeting. I contacted the pub well in advance to book a table which turned out to be a...More

When we walked in we thought "What a great pub". Little did we know we'd be told off for laughing. None of our group will EVER return. Disappointing. What a rude woman with very little understanding of pub culture.

Our family had rented an apt. down the street from The Duke and went by to see what food options were available for dinner. It doesn't look like much from the outside (and actually doesn't compare well with the fancier pubs in London if that...More

Limited choice of spirits and don't offer choice of bottles of mixers, instead use mixer guns :( Nice old world location :)

Great visit to a great traditional pub. Enjoyed our visit and this was enhanced by the super friendly bar man called Matt.

We only called in for a drink on our way elsewhere, but stayed for more. What a gorgeous little 1930s time capsule this is! However did it survive without being 'improved'?Lovely beer, too.

The most striking thing about The Duke is it's unspoilt 1930's interior. Unlike the vast majority of pubs in London it hasn't been heavily modernised and thus retains bags of character. This was my first visit for more than 15 years and the place seemed...More

Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and

It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated

Despite an understandable popularity with students,

I guess it would be fairly easy to get a wheelchair in the main door. As someone else has pointed out, they are double doors. And the staff are really great and helpful. I am sure it will be fine. And you'll love the beer... More
