I've been here with my family and we all think it's awesome. Best Indian restaurant of the place! You need to come at least to try! But be careful with the spicy food!

Excellent food and we're offered free drinks to eat there. They kept there promise and drinks were given throughout the meal. Food and hospitality excellent. Would visit again when next in London.

We were touted in with the promise of free large drinks and 20% off the bill. The drinks we were brought were definitely small, and were replaced. The starters were ok, but the mains were poor - the veg masala sauce had split, the potatoes that made up most of the dish were unpleasant, and it was sent back; the... More

After being enticed in by a tout with an offer of starter mains and drink for £12 per head we found we were the only people in. Service was quick to start but following main course we were totally ignored. Barman was busy putting bottles of water on empty tables and the waiter/manager was on his phone. No offer of... More

This was our first visit to Brick Lane. Chillies was the first menu board we stopped to look at and before we could move on anywhere else we were virtually dragged inside. The restaurant next door to Chillies tried to intervene and asked us to look at their menu which lead to a furious exchange of words between members of... More

They "fish" us from the street, here was Sunu, who convinced us to go in. A bit aggressive and annoying if you're not used with this sort of approaches on the street, but even in Turkey, Greece, or even Miami is the same. Unexpectedly friendly staff, very tasty aithentic indian food, some drinks for free to start and they brought... More

I was on holiday in London with my family for the Christmas break. The owner gave us a warm welcome and helped us choosing the best dishes from the menu. Food was very good and the staff was polite, friendly and helpful. Will go again when back to London!

Like far too many on Brick Lane now, it seems to just be a numbers game of get you in and out as fast as possible. Huge menu. Popadoms, main of chicken, rice and channah massalla side for about £25 including a beer is about average, which is pretty much all you can say about it really.

Booked a table, arrived and whilst trying to find the restaurant were approached by staff from another restaurant. After finally arriving we were told we wouldn't be served as we spoke with another restaurant very rudely. Even after attempting to explain the misunderstanding they were still rude so we went to another restaurant. Walking back, on the way home they... More

5 of us went for a family curry during a pre-Christmas trip to London. We experienced the usual hard sell from the touts outside, the guy promoting this restaurant was no worse than any of the others and the place was fairly busy so we took that as a good sign. The staff were friendly and fairly efficient. The free... More

Staying in Spitalfields

Neighbourhood Profile
For a glimpse of Georgian and Victorian London at its most pristine, or a peek into what's apt to be the next big global trend, the hipster zone of Spitalfields can provide hours of amazement. Around the clock, this is a haven for early morning bargain hunters sizing up its street markets, foodie foragers throughout the day, or late night revelers hitting some of London's most popular bars and clubs.

Wedged between the business-minded City of London, expressly trendy Shoreditch, and zestful Whitechapel, the lines between traditional and contemporary beautifully blur in this historic East End nexus.
