I have visited Zeret Kitchen several times based on a recommendation from a friend. I am a veggie and i loved the selection of veggies dishes available, also combined with a flat bread things; the meal was delicious. My friends and i felt very welcomed and enjoyed the popcorn with the coffee ceremony. Visit this restaurant

I had a delightful meal here. Great music too, some beautiful beats. Best thing was the service, lots of generous offerings. If you enjoyed this, I'd recommend Adulis Ethiopian restaurant in Oval as it has great food too but it also has a uniquely Ethiopian interior design too, Zeret had a more simple, modern interior which let the food speak... I went to this restaurant 3 days ago for a business meal and the food was amazing. There was a wide range of gluten free and vegan options available and the staff were all very atentative. We will definitely be visiting again.

I was staying with a friend nearby and asked if we could try Zeret after spotting it on TripAdvisor, it turned out it was just round the corner from her so very handy. We'd not booked and turned up on a very busy Friday night but they managed to fit us in. We both went for the vegetarian tasting dish... More

We've been to this restaurant a few times over the year, sometimes with Ethiopian relatives and sometimes with others, and on each occasion it's been consistently good. Service comes with a smile and the food reflects the genuine Ethiopian cuisine that we've come across in our travels to that country. If you've not tried Ethiopian food before, this is the... More

I had a delicious dinner at Zeret. We ordered a signature complete taste of different plates in one serve. We paired it with a pretty good wine from the restrict yet good enough wine list. The flavor and spiciness were equally strong!! The way typically you eat at Ethiopian restaurants. All the options were properly cooked and at the right... More

Yummy first experience of Ethiopian food! As we had no idea of what to order we went for the "Zeret special" which was a platter of all different things. Served on the bread type thing that is used to eat it with (ate with fingers - no cutlery), so we literally ate the plate, washed down with a glass of... More

We shared a starter, a big pancake with toppings for 3 (utterly delicious) tried a glass of honey wine and shared a bottle of wine, one of us had a beer, and we also had the popcorn (how can popcorn be so delicious?) and coffee and frankincense and the bill came in under £70 for three of us. Lovely candlelit... More

Delicious and authentic Ethiopian cuisine. Slightly off the beaten path but well worth the Uber drive. Excellent service, Argentine wines. Lovely Toffy was our server. Please note they don't take American Express- so bring plenty of cash.

Description
Lovers of Ethiopian cuisine and adventurous foodies will appreciate this bright, clean and modern restaurant in Camberwell that prides itself on its family recipes and dedication to authentic Ethiopian traditions. Zeret itself is a name that comes from a small village in northern Ethiopia, and the menu includes mostly chicken, lamb and beef stews made with butter, garlic and ginger served on pancake-like flatbread called enjera. All the food here is delicious, and the dining room is decorated with colourful placemats, potted palms and simple white walls. Perfect for communal/sharing meals with friends and family, the Zeret Kitchen has attentive staff and a relaxed atmosphere don't miss the Ethiopian style chicken cooked with green chillies, herbs and spices.
