Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were very much looking forward to going to eat here but unfortunately we were very disappointed. I didn't like having to sit downstairs the vibe upstairs was better downstairs we sat looking at the kitchen...very dim we couldn't read the menu...our table was too...small for 4 we had to keep moving glasses and plates around etc...the brusttea was tasteless....pasta was lukewarm and again lacked flavour. The hubby had the ravioli which was 6 in number!! Lovely pasta dish the food was lost in it! The pizza was medicore and it was lukewarm. Service was ok but never asked how our food was! Plonked the dishes now with no connection we felt it lacked any sort of genuine hospitality. It was a case of get them in and out asap. A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT! Also they like you to pay by scanning a code! Which is fine until they want to charge you £2.50 to do it!More

We honestly wanted to love Gloria more than we did. Our server seemed very reluctant to serve our table and we weren’t exactly sure why. But we watched him go to his other tables numerous times, but he didn’t do the same for us. The...food was bland at best, and lacked salt at very least. The only saving grace was the salad with pesto dressing, which was very good. The cocktails were also good. I recognize that the restaurant was very busy, but given that it’s social media famous, you would think that this would be managed better. I’m especially disappointed as my husband and I travelled to UK to visit our daughter and husband and could have gone to any restaurant, but we chose this one and it was not to standard. My caution to anyone would be to go to Gloria for the social media and not for the food!More

Went for lunch yesterday with friends and thoroughly enjoyed it. I woudl usually go for the pasta options but ordered the pizza for the first time - 'hot to trot' at £16 was really nice with a sweet and spicy mix that really worked, highly...recommended.More

Great atmosphere and great service but £23 for cacio pepe (cheese and pepper) is a lol. Also I got literally 5 pieces of pasta. If you want better value get the pizza. I liked it but probably wouldn’t rush back. I was hesitant to give...a 3 cos I loved the waiter but it just has to be.More

This was such a great dinner spot! My friend booked it a few weeks in advance and I would definitely suggest booking on a weekend instead of walking in because people were being turned away. The food was so delicious- there were plenty of options!...The decor and design of the restaurant was really pretty too!More

Excellent food but pricey for what it is. We had a lovely lunch and places has a lovely feel and atmosphere. We would head back but was less than happy with 13% service charge for a four people lunch.

Busy and vibrant but that’s where the good news ends! Food was tasty but it’s not great when you feel you need a McDs on the way home! Edgy? Yes in that way when those working there consider themselves above interacting with the customer while...adding a 13.5% service charge and a £3 charge for paying your bill at your table with your phone! Not good value for money which is a real shame given its potential to provide a memorable night out with good food!More

This is some of the best pasta I've eaten outside of Italy, and the service and general decor was fantastic. From the street scene to the crockery, it was all very authentic and enjoyable, a real experience. The menu changes monthly so don't expect to...come back and have the wonderful thing you had last time - however I like that idea, there is always something new so you won't tire of coming back. One note that loses the restaurant at least one star - the toilets. The toilets feature a shared space for men, women and other genders to all wash their hands in the same place, and these basins are immediately opposite the cubicles. The cubicle doors have one-way glass in them, so females are forced to look out of their cubicle at everyone including men washing their hands, doing hair, taking selfies...it's awkward and embarrassing. Not to mention, the men's urinals is through a rope curtain - so I was forced to stand at a urinal whilst being able to see through the curtain towards women washing their hands!! I can't imagine being female in these toilets, and trying to use the toilets or mirrors with lots of random men hanging around you. Thanks to the clientele, this wasn't a problem - but I'm sure on other occasions, certain people with certain amounts of alcohol in their systems could make this an intimidating and difficult place to be.More

Absolutely amazing food and the service was fabulous. Our waiter Francesco was the right amount of attentive! Friendly and helpful. I have been to several of the big mumma restaurants in London and this is definitely now my favourite! Grazie a Gloria!

On the outside, Gloria seems snug, cosy and vibrant. However, once inside, it loses all style and atmosphere with its awful playing of loud and awkward pop music. It was a task to have a member of the wait staff notice you, and when they...did serve you, it came with some attitude, which was not welcoming or pleasant. The main dishes were OK, but not worth the money we were charged. The tiramisu was quite nice and enjoyable. If you want to come here, I suggest coming for the desserts, not for the mains, and dont stay long, as the atmosphere is not pleasant.More

Food was lovely but over priced. Front of house was none existent, causing people to jump the queue in confusion over who had and hadn’t booked. Lots of staff just not working the room, we had the pour our own wine and were really just...left after the food was served. One of those restaurants that just doesn’t meet the hype sadly. First and last visit.More

Fantastic experience, loud, buzzy, atmospheric place. Amazing decor, brilliant fun staff. Authentic italian food, extensive menu, dishes full of flavour, we had the cheese wheel this time - really good & a fun experience ! You have to try the lemon meringue …… it’s an...event in itself ! Good value for money. Been loads of times & my favourite restaurant in LondonMore

I went to Gloria’s for my friend’s birthday, the restaurant is very pretty without being over the top, food was lovely and service was great. Nothing negative to say, I will definitely recommend to friends and return!
