Nice afternoon tea with all the basics. The spongecake was kinda dry. The tea was nice. The waiters were busy but okay. All foreigners for some reason. A bit expensive drinks (we had two glasses with the afternoon tea). Nice interior.

Great spot for afternoon tea, more reasonably priced than many in the city. Way too much sweet vs savory in the afternoon tea, but that's more how it is in London rather than an issue here in particular. Everything was very good

My wife and I had dinner here on New Year's Eve, and could not fault it. Great atmosphere, fabulous and efficient staff, and great food. The dover sole in particular was divine.

Maybe I've been lucky this time on my visit to London, but overall I've found quite good restaruants (in general with poor service). In this case, the food is well above average and the service is outstanding. It was one of this times that I was more than happy paying the 12,5% service now usually charged in London (imported from... More

Probably one of the hotter places in the Capital presently but not sure how much this says when you put it on the international scale. Venison hot pot interesting though slightly salty. The gorgeous Michelle however helps it along nicely.

Good British food is often hard to find and when you do it is usually in a pub that serves pre-cooked, sub-standard food. However, here the quality is great and the menu gives people who want to understand what British food is (that is not just fish and chips) the opportunity to do so.

Decided to try here . Sat for dinner and had water to table . Then another waiter offered water even do it was on the table . He then dropped a ketchup bottle at the table before we ordered drinks or food ."strange". I also requested a vodka with a slimline tonic to be informed they only serve premium vodka... More

What a lovely place. We were seated swiftly and the staff were very good with our children. Breakfast was very nicely presented. Pastries were fresh and delicious. Tea was just as I like it.

For such a posh looking place the food is very down to earth and hearty. Mince and potatoes is a signature dish and it is literally a big bowl , beautifully flavored mince with a side of potatoes. Very British and very tasty on a cold rainy London day. Treacle tart with cream is also not to be missed. The... More

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
