We had the lunch deal which was exceptional value, £39pp for 3 courses and unlimited Prosecco. Food and service exactly what you would expect for a Michelin star restaurant.

The dorset crab lasagna melts in your mouth. Beautifully presented, beautiful texture and flavor. The ambiance is also lovely.

Very fortunate to be able to experience the 7 course Menu Gourmand which we would highly recommend. Delicious food in a beautiful setting and lovely ambience. Special place for a special occasion.

We went for a set menu of 6 courses. When the first course came in and I saw how small it was I was a bit worried. Regardless by the end we were full, the portions may be small but very tasty and get you full. One thing I did notice is that there were more staff then customers. There... More

So we arrived and were given in my opinion the best seats and view in the house on the ground floor. Corner table, perfect, I hate sitting opposite my bf so seating was great and intimate away from onlookers. Had a somalier think it's spelt like this but he was choosing our wines for each dish through the evening. We... More

What a great place to enjoy Sunday lunch. The food is superb with some interesting menu choices and the service is very attentive but not over the top. Wine prices are a bit OTT but the fixed price lunch menu also offers a small carafe of wine which we had and was surprisingly acceptable. It is a very rare place... More

We had a voucher bought by our kids to use at this restaurant. We decided to go for the tasting menu and were not disappointed! The food was scrumptious, well presented and served with little fuss and a smile.

The prix fixe lunchtime menu is great value -- three choices for each course, and no sense that you are getting second-best fare. Chicken liver/foie gras parfait, seared liver and good cheese hit the spot. the wine list is extensive, ranging from decent value house wines to stratospherically priced serious vintages. A wonderful volume to sit in, this is an... More

Haven't been here for a couple of years. Visited this time for lunch with some work colleagues. The shine was taken off what would have otherwise been a great lunch by consistently, inordinately slow service for everything water/bread/starter/main/dessert/coffee. Really couldn't figure out the issue, the restaurant wasn't busy, the staff were friendly, they just weren't attentive or responsive The wine... More

This restaurant is amazing and so luxurious restaurant, at 35 spiral square in London. Second I've been from Galvin brothers. It has very nice climate and the atmosphere. Service is amazing and so polite. Foods are so good, every dish deserves a picture, as its presented in very nice way. You can get 2 courses for £29, or 3 for... More

The third restaurant to be opened by acclaimed chef brothers Chris and Jeff Galvin, La Chapelle has been consistently praised, winning no less than 8 top restaurant awards in its first year, including AA London Restaurant of the Year, and Tatler magazine's Restaurant of the Year. Chef Patron, Jeff Galvin, provides a menu of modern French cuisine, gaining a Michelin star in the 2011 Red Guide, just a year after the restaurant opened. There is also a menu gourmand, prix fixe lunch, early dinner menu, and Sunday Roast lunch menu. The service, under the direction of Alessandro Piombino and his team, effortlessly combines warm, friendly and attentive hospitality with a fine sense of tradition and decorum, in keeping with the grandeur of this Grade II-listed building. The restaurant is one of the few restaurants in London to hold a vertical list of Hermitage La Chapelle wines.

Staying in Spitalfields

Neighbourhood Profile
For a glimpse of Georgian and Victorian London at its most pristine, or a peek into what's apt to be the next big global trend, the hipster zone of Spitalfields can provide hours of amazement. Around the clock, this is a haven for early morning bargain hunters sizing up its street markets, foodie foragers throughout the day, or late night revelers hitting some of London's most popular bars and clubs.

Wedged between the business-minded City of London, expressly trendy Shoreditch, and zestful Whitechapel, the lines between traditional and contemporary beautifully blur in this historic East End nexus.
