I went with a colleague for an after-work drink and a bite, walking by almost by chance. I had gone there once, a couple of years ago, for a good lunch, so I was happy to go back for an evening drink. The pub is spacious and full of light, it has a good atmosphere and was quite crowded, but... More

In no way is this a gastro pub. It might pretend to be, but it isn't! No, sirree! Is it London prices that expect a mediocre steak be charged at £25? Or a bland crab risotto with an unfresh piece of fish dumped on top to cost £15? Do we expect more in the North East from our food? Well,... More

Be sure to book if you want to secure a table as it is crazy busy on sundays! That could be down to the fact the roast is incredible! The atmosphere is very casual and relaxed and the staff are friendly and prompt. The only thing I would say is the gravy portion is a little on the small side.... More

We tried to walk in twice and then finally decided to book a table in advance since its always very busy! Absolutely worth it though! Amazing food (pub-like dishes like fish and chips but also more restaurant-like dishes like fish and gnochis) and very friendly service. One of the best places to go eat or just have a pint in... This was my first stop with friends on my first visit to London to have my first local pint. It was great! It is in a lovely neighborhood and feels like a local gathering place. While we had only drinks, there seemed to be a good selection of pub-style and comfort food available. The atmosphere was just right and not... More

We had two fantastic dinners at the Hereford Arms during our stay in London and really enjoyed the place. This is more of the Gastropub with top notch food. The Sunday Roast is excellent and the Fish and Chips and Liver were incredible. For an appetizer do not miss the Leek Tart which was amazing and the desserts are all... More

Excellent choice of food and drink, all reasonably priced- especially for this part of London. We came before a show at the a royal Albert Hall which is conveniently just a few minutes away. Exceptional staff, with swift and friendly service. Highly recommended pub for meeting friends due to a very warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Wow, Thanks for the lovely review guys! We are very well placed for the Albert Hall and I'm so happy you had such a great time. I hope the show was equally up to scratch! Cheers Ben at the Hereford More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
