Magical Afternoon Tea, Mrs Potts Teapot filled with cream, Chip filled with "Try the grey stuff, its delicious" mousse, chocolate tart Cogsworth Clock to mention a couple of the amazing treats including in this superb Beauty & The Beast themed afternoon tea! The service and ambience of the hotel and staff are both wonderful, cannot recommend this experience highly enough!

We had lots of problems getting through to them as no one answers the phones so were apprehensive but no need. It really was amazing and the staff perfection especially our server Barbara - she honestly could not do enough for us ! All the little details were so amazing and thoughtful - literally cannot recommend this highly enough. We... More

The afternoon tea was amazing. Really magical with the props. E.g. Mrs Potts teapot, Chip tea cup and clock. The selection of food was lovely and big portions for everyone. We were celebrating 2 birthdays and taking lots of pictures and our waiter Sandor was so lovely taking pictures for us and coping with our demands. My friend has a... More

Booked an afternoon tea for four at the Kensington about a month ago. It was to be part of a fun day in London with friends. The day was fun but the afternoon tea wasn't. I was first contacted by the hotel since they wanted to change out booking time. I found this pretty strange since we had booked a... More

Probably the best afternoon tea I have had. Service was faultless, All the Staff were excellent very attentive and friendly. Very relaxed comfortable atmosphere and in no way were we rushed. The tea, sandwiches, and cakes were excellent and plenty of them. Will defiantly return.

As a solo diner I cannot thank the staff enough for looking after me so well, in particular the Maitre D' at dinner. Nothing was too much trouble and the food of a high quality, I personally chose to have two starters which was just perfect. Breakfast choice excellent, perfect avocado, roasted tomatoes on toast with chilli.

On a freezing January day my best friend and I arrived for afternoon tea, it was a Monday so not very busy. The waitress told us she had seated us in front of the fire because she thought we would prefer to sit there. The whole hotel staff welcomed us and made us feel like regulars. Such wonderful service. We had afternoon tea here on our most recent stay. The scones, pastries, tea sandwiches, and deserts were wonderful. The tea was high quality. We enjoyed a long, un-rushed, afternoon relaxed with our tea and plates.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
