As a Blue Badge London Guide I am always on the lookout for unusual places to take my clients for a day's experience in London. Having passed L'atelier des Chefs on numerous occasions I decided to try it out as a day for my clients. I couldn't have made a better choice. from the first phone call I made asking... More

Had a fab time here yesterday making macaroons... for someone who had no prior knowledge of how to make them and rarely bakes, this was fantastic. Chefs were really great with advice and extra tips. Everyone got to have a go of prepping etc. and we got yummy goodies to take home to boot.

For years I had asked and hinted to my ex that I wanted to do a cooking class for a date night. I even suggested it to friends but always had my suggestion changed in some way. So on Friday I let my impulse take control & booked the curry cooking class for the Saturday afternoon to ride solo! I... More

I attended the pasta making class yesterday - and what a treat it was. There were only two of us in the class so we had plenty of practical experience. The chef was was clearly very experienced and knowledgeable as one might expect but also a skilled teacher who explained much of the chemistry behind the cooking, not simply the... More

I took part in a pasta making workshop at the St Paul's branch last week. There were only 4 of us which meant that the class was more practical than I've read in other reviews which was good. The recipes were nice and we got to eat our cooking at the end. However, my experience was let down by the... More

Hi Alice, Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback from your recent class with us. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the recipes and the practical tips and tricks. However, we would like to apologise that you felt your Chef was impatient. This really is not the impression he meant to leave. Absolutely, all questions... More

We had a French cookery class here for twenty friends. The staff were incredibly helpful and organised and the venue was fantastic too. We had a two hour experience; cooking, eating and enjoying wine and nibbles. It really was fantastic value! The party was really impressed and I will be recommending to other family and friends. Thank you for a... More

We were given this experience as a gift from a relative and initially I was unsure as I hadn't heard of L'atelier before. We arrived to find that we were the only two people attending since a few had cancelled and it wasn't fully booked to start with! So we ended up having a personalised class, which meant we could... Spent an absolutely fabulous morning at L'atelier des Chefs in London's Wigmore St branch, learning to bake macaroons! The 2 hour class went by too quickly; it was such a joy! Not only did I learn how to bake macaroons, but I found the class a great way to totally relax from the stresses of day to day hectic life!... More

Can't fault it one bit! We came here (as a surprise!) for a team building event. I have to admit, I was very sceptical when I saw what we were doing, mainly as my cooking is terrible! But with the guidance & support of the pro chefs, I soon started to very much enjoy myself. There were about 30 of... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
