The first time I visited this restaurant, last year; i received excellent service and the food was amazing. I was visiting London this year with my family and decided to surprise them with a meal from Zayna's. We ordered mixed grills, 4 mains - the biryani was so tasty and the rotis and the naans were too. I was very... More

We were so looking forward to our dinner at Zayna but have to say we were left disappointed. The food was rather bland, as was the atmosphere. The waiters I have to say we're very attentive but there seems to be general confusion on who does what and serves which table. We almost had 3 waiters serving us.

Go put yourself in his hands. Tell him how hungry you are and beg ignorance. He will put you on the right track. As with so many ethnic restaurants, you can argue over the authenticity of dishes. But these were delightful and the atmosphere was energetic. Just off one of the busiest areas in London. Sneak over there for some... More

Absolute horrible experience. I came to have dinner by myself. Apparently this is looked down on in this restaurant. They treated me like I was unworthy of a table upstairs with everyone else and acted like they were pulling strings to "figure things out". Next thing you know I'm being brought downstairs in a small area of basement seating by... More

I selected Zayna from Trip advisor for dinner last weekend. I was looking forward to a great London "Indian". While the food here was very nice, it was not what I expected and the naan was disappointing. Maybe my own fault, as Zeyna is actually Pakistani. great service though, and very helpful staff.

We were greeted with an inquiry if we had reservations. This is understandable as it is a small restaurant but what followed was being treated like we should be grateful they allowed us to eat at their restaurant. A feeling of constantly being watched and rushed and our attempts of common courtesy and thanks being met most often with no... More

Food was seriously lovely, service was great and the spice was on another level! Loved it. Plus it's halal.

Am updating my review - unfair to keep the old one when there have been many positive experiences since then. The currys are authentic and in particular I like the fact that no two curries taste the same - a sure sign that things are made more or less from scratch than jars of large pots of a base sauce.... An excellent restaurant ! Nice decor, great food and strikingly good service. My wife has a lactose problem and the wsit was knowledgeable and helpful in providing us with a truly excellent meal. Prices are reasonable and food is outstanding.

Situated just a short walk from Marble Arch this place is worth finding. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food is amazing I am sure we were very lucky to get a table as we had not booked but it was very busy. Considering the area didn't think was expensive well priced for food and drink. I would say this is... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
