Starter and maincourse was poured with oil and cooked so bad, a meal at McDonald’s would have been preferable. It felt like goo in oil. The maincourse, which was seafood and zucchini, had all been deepfried. Even the zucchini which had been burned as well....The owner him self pointed that out, but didn’t lower the price. I only ate the deepfried prawns. My boyfriend got a pasta, which only tasted of cream and contained one shrimp. His starter was a board of, supposedly lukrative tapas, but mostly it felt like a night at home, and emptying the fridge. I would not recommend any one going there - and that says a lot coming from me, who has never before felt the urge to rate on Tripadvisor.More

Bad experience from the start. We had a reservation for 8 people but we had to wait outside over 10 minutes before we got the table. The stuff didn't apologize for the situation. We still had high hopes for the food but unfortunately it was...tasteless and below average. It wasn't worth the price. Stuff were unfriendly and nobody asked if we enjoyed our meals. Our group was very disappointed. Wouldn't recommend the place.More

Unfortunately, I can't recommend the food nor the service. We waited a long time for the reserved table, and after that the staff were quite rude. Unfortunately the food did not save the situation.

We had a nice meal in a very cosy restaurant, with a typical Sicilian touch. The espresso at the end of the evening was delicious and thanks to the Fork we even received a 30% discount on our meals.

Finally we can say that we ate the very Italian pizza with Italian ingredients in London. The staff and the local were very cozy.

Booked 5 days beforehand for 5 of us to eat at 6pm - turned up on time to be told that our table was outside (in the road), no heating available (but rugs were offered). At 14C it was too cold to eat a hot...meal there. The waiter was 100% offhand, couldn't care less.More

Booked a pre theatre meal with a 30% discount which the restaurant refused to acknowledge. The meal was extremely basic considering the price, even if they’d honoured the 30% it would still have been very expensive. Very disappointing!

From our first interaction with Giacomo to our last, it felt like I was in a family members home. I haven’t heard that much Italian outside of Italy in a long time. While quaint and intimate in the size, the food makes up the difference...in quality and taste. I highly recommend making a reservation but only if you want to sit a moment, enjoy your company, the meal and celebrate what is most important in life - both of those things. (Pictured below are pasta pomodoro, calamari and Pizza Rucola). Grazie Giacomo.More

A little gem in a very nice area. Very enjoyable evening; nice atmosphere (both outdoors (great little terrace in the front) or indoors (e.g. lamp shades made of cheese graters), very friendly staff, tasty food (excellent arancini, pane cunzato with spicy pepperoni, nice wine (Nero...D'Avola or Verdicchio) and best tiramisu you can find in London). Will definitely come back often to try new dishes.More

Sat outside for a great lunch while spending the day at the British museum. Had the appetizer of eggplant & buffalo mozzarella appetizer & tuna salad, plus wine & expresso. Great service from Giaco. Didn’t really read reviews before, just noticed it was beautifully decorated...& busy. Nice place.More

Visited here for a celebration and food was good. We had calamari and parmigiana melanzane as starters and they were tasty. For mains,I had a basic insalata di pollo and the other mains was a gluten free vegetarian pizza. Pizza turned out to have pieces...of salami which my husband was not aware, thought it was tomato slices as where we were sitting was rather dark. Pointed this out to our lady server who apologised. Dessert which consisted of tiramisu pistachio and affogato were yummy. Glass of 175 mls white and red wine were very expensive at £10 each and service 12.5%. Ambience was fine, crowded and rather noisy. Food was good apart from the issue of not complying with our pizza being VEGETARIAN gluten free especially on ordering, I made a specific point and also sent a message prior to our visit. Special pizza was rather expensive at £19.40 ,being gluten free.More

Been there with my family a few weeks ago to dine and it turned out to be one of the most interesting place i’ve ever been in. Located in the city center it is easily accessible from every part of london via tube or bus...and furthermore it’s just a few steps from the British Museum. The restaurant has a very warm atmosphere inside with gentle and reliable staff that will take care of you in every moment of your experience. Delicious italian food obviously, from pasta to pane cunzato and more. I finally highly recommend this place to everybody who wants to experience a restaurant worth of italian tradition.More

We booked a table here after seeing a show at Shaftesbury theatre which was only a few minutes walk away. The menu was plentiful, with lots to chose from. We went for pizza, and I must say it was one of the best pizzas we...have ever had (being half Italian, I've had many pizzas). The staff were very attentive, the restaurant was tastefully decorated, and best of all it was very reasonably priced for central London. We will definitely return. Grazie mille xxMore
