This was a wonderful alternative to the expensive (£16), boring breakfast offered by our nearby hotel. For around £10 we could have two meals a pot of tea for two and share a fresh (from real oranges not from a carton). One morning I asked for a muffin with scrambled egg and smoked salmon (not on the menu) and the... More

We loved this place! We went there for breakfast, and got very good food and service. The place was unique and cozy, with an excellent selection of cakes and pasteries. It is highly recommended!

Been here a few times. Service tends to be very slow though the teashop is almost always busy. Great selection of fresh cakes and treats, generous portions and reasonable prices. Worth a stop if you have the time.

This little tea shop is like going back in time....tiny, cosy with proper tablecloths, fitted carpet and lots of plants. The food is super with delicious homemade cakes, scones with jam and clotted cream, delicious sandwiches etc. and....real loose leaf tea! We always have breakfast there (when we can find a table) when staying at a nearby hotel, and after... More

We visited the muffin man whilst staying at a hotel nearby and we're delighted with the service and quality of the breakfast we enjoyed. The location was perfect for us, just around the corner from our hotel and off Kensington High St, en route to the underground! A full English breakfast with orange juice, a mountain of toast and a... More

Staff: unhelpful and rude Food: average Menù: poor From the outside the place looks amazing but when inside... the menu offer few things, of average quality and very basic in presentation... stuff is unhelpful and rude... no credit card accepted and no receipts. In Kensington you don't expect a place to offer this kind of service. I will never come... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
