Home made cakes and simple food with a twist. Beats the chains. Excellent coffee too! If visiting London, treat yourself .

My wife & I popped in here for lunch after I bored her rigid trolling the Denmark Street guitar shops. Having not purchased yet another guitar, I was feeling a bit glum, but this place cheered us both up in no uncertain terms. It's quite unique in its vibe and you immediately get the impression that the quality of eats... More

My wife knew about Fernandez & Wells but we didn't know where any of their places were. We found this by accident. A great tapas/wine bar type of place, terrific atmosphere, excellent staff who are very knowledgable and excellent cured meats & other dishes. The chickpea and Morcilla was a treat!

I've wanted to come here for ages but stumbled upon it by complete chance whilst trying to escape the rain over the weekend. Really enjoyed it here, my husband and I had two nice glasses of red wine (there are only two options of red/white wine by the glass- but both are nice and reasonably priced). Despite having dinner plans... More

Some time ago we got lost in SOHO and found this amazing place. The combination of simple food and great wine just filled our stomachs and wine with satisfaction and happiness. Probably the best "genius loci" food place in Soho. The cecina with bread, olive oil and Primitivo is our ultimate choice.

My favourite wine bar to visit in Soho. I'm happy to travel the six tube stops just for the atmosphere! The friendly staff will always recommend a good bottle or glass to go with your mood and atmosphere. There's always something new to try and I haven't had a bad glass yet. The chorizo, manchego cheese and patatas bravas are... More

This place (which is now on Beak Street) is amazing! The bread is actual bread, not plastic; it is very tasty and high quality. So are all the cured meats. Haven't had the cakes or the coffee yet but I can't wait! I guess I'll be spending quite some time there. :)

A hidden treasure near King's College London and part of the magnificent Somerset House. Rely on this place for all day dining and drinking, with fresh produce and perhaps the best coffee in London.

After excellent vegetarian meal ( yes it's possible) in Mildred's we thought we would finish off our evening with a glass of wine and some cheese & jamon. If you check my profile you could be forgiven for thinking that I spend half my life in Spain ( not true only about 80 trips so far ) and I can... More

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
