Went for dinner one Friday evening. Arrived early but seated immediately, service very fast and attentive. Food excellent quality. My only reservation is that the service was almost too good and felt slightly rushed - probably trying to get people moved along quickly so they...More

Nice food. Have the American custom of offering to put your leftovers into boxes, so we had Chinese lunch the next day. Good choices were the chilli prawns ( not hot), the duck wraps and the sweet and sour chicken. Best thing was that I...More

Everything that you would expect a quality chinese restaurant to be in an unexpected location in Ealing. Maxim's has been going strong for at least 20 years in this location. It is always busy. Service may sometimes be a little slow but the food has...More

I still visit here whenever I'm in the area as I've been eating here since I was a little lad so it holds a special place for me, however, the food is not always consistent but in my recent visit the food has gone better.

Been here before years ago but this time was impressed. Had a set meal which was incredibly generous. There were three of us and the warm starters were huge, and the duck in pancake was the biggest serving we have ever seen. The main course...More

Food was ok. But money was taken twice from my account. Manager yet to agree this happened and refund me. Not happy paying for average meal twice! Still no refund been told by staff to come to restaurant and show bank statements. But they have...More

This place has been serving good Chinese food for decades. We decided to drop-in for a meal having not been here for a few years and were pleasantly surprised with the dishes we had, including sizzling squid, soft shell crab, and king prawn in chilli...More

The best part about the restaurant is the atmosphere. The food is of average quality in comparison with other Chinese restaurants. The spring rolls were more oily than expected and a bit blunt in taste. The dumplings were acceptable. The crispy rice with vegetables was...More

Went to this well-established and long-running restaurant for the first time a few days ago and had a meal from the set price selection on the menu. It would be untrue to say that the meal wasn't tasty and the middle course portion of duck...More

I have been using Maxin's for many, many years and it is still one of my favourite Chinese restaurants in London. The food is constantly of very good quality and I have found the service to be OK (whether I am eating in or having...More

Description
Maxim is a family run restaurant, since 1974. In Ealing it is known affectionately by its customers as "Mrs Chow's", the lady in charge of the cooking, who believes in using fresh and natural ingredients. We serve authentic Peking Chinese cuisine with traditional starters from satay chicken to sweet-and-sour won ton to our, 'Signature: Spare Ribs'. Followed with our, 'Speciality: Aromatic Duck, a classic of its kind with crisp golden skin and tender meat. Or push the boat out with a whole lobster, halved and served with ginger and spring onion sauce. Side dishes like glossy, crispy green beans are equally good. Finish with deep-fried banana and apple, the crunchy coating giving way to soft, fluffy fruit.
