Such a good pub. It's traditional (beautiful facade, dogs, a carpet!), without being an old man pub. Food is served in massive portions and really good value for money. Only wish they had a slightly larger local ale selection, but that's nitpicking. An unrivalled gem...More

Not much more to say than how charming this place is, always friendly, always full, traditional and inviting - best pub in the area!

This pub is excellent! I know i know, I didn't give it an excellent score, but that's because it needs to get rid of the curtains, put in a wooden floor and play some music... but then it would be rammed! The staff are friendly,...More

A blast to the old days and why pubs are closing. Beer had no head, it should have been good but just not that well kept. Bulk standard poor red wine too. Don't be surprised to find them Closed down. Shame because it should be...More

If you wish to witness the central London community then this is the venue to check out. An excellent range of Young's ales, great service, great food and a TV showing live sport. What's not to like?

Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site
of an ancient meat market which remains in operation
today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally
renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and
some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a
focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough
time wondering through the area's maze of streets and
you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky
