The blackbird is close to the Tube station and a great place to eat the staff are helpful and the food whilst standard pub fare is good, the seats are small and cramped however

Very nice pub. Close to Earls Court Underground Station. Kind staff. Good traditional pubfood. Especially the pies are tasty. And of course they have Fullers sortiment of beers! Sometimes crowdy but still not so loudly (as Courtfield in same block), so if you want a table for dinner for sure, book in advance.

A Fuller's pub that pulls a proper pint of London Pride. Busy on the night and may have had a slight negative effect on the food. My order of fish and chips was ok but as I prefer a more tempura like batter found it a bit greasy. The pie served to a table mate was a bit disappointing but... More

I visited here on a business trip in November. This is a lovely local pub which had a great atmosphere with the pub very busy but with friendly people. We were served quickly and the drinks were reasonably priced for London.

Good beer selection, food was good, and free WiFi. Seems like the locals love it here. Just wish they stayed open pass 11 PM.

Visited here the other night and was truly pleased with my choice! I had the battered cod and house cut chips, which were arguably the best in the area. Also tried the dried apple cider which was light and refreshing, the bad staff are very friendly and happy to recommend any food or drinks. Overall the food was great, very... More

Good comfort food in a friendly pub atmosphere. Plenty of specials and all the regular pies, fish and chips and wholesome food.

Where to start? Well, the place itself is beautiful both in decor and ambiance. The service is prompt, friendly and professional. The range of ales and other drinks is excellent. Now, the food. If you like pie that suggests that you may encounter shot in the Three Bird Roast pie or you fancy award winning Posh Stargazy pie, by heck... More

We came for our last breakfast before heading home from a girly weekend. Food was ok, even in London though £3 for 2 slices of toast was a rip off! The others proper breakfasts looked nice, around £8-£10 each. We visited the toilets before we left and they were vile - the smell hit you on the way in and... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
