We have just had a celebration at the Stag following our son's christening. Ian, Aidan and their team were brilliant throughout the whole planning process and we arranged to use the excellent Thomas Grubb room for 60 guests. The staff were so welcoming with our guests and the food was delicious. Many people remarked on how great it was -... More

My daughter treated us to an early meal at our local pub,. We had not visited this establishment for about nine months and were looking forward to it. Sadly we were just a bit dissapointed. The Roast Beef - which is normally superb - looked a bit "sad" and the vegetables accompanying it were not properly cooked - the roast... More

Hello Hamida, I was sorry to read your review, as a keen fan of the traditional Sunday roast it is obviously a shame to hear that yours was not up to par on this occasion. We take pride on delivering a great Sunday roast experience and it is always disappointing to hear if we haven't delivered this for you. I've... More

Nipped in here to take advantage of the beer garden while it was sunny. Didn't stay for long but the outside area is lovely and the toilets are clean. Nice staff.

Good food in a buzzing atmosphere. Staff are jolly and friendly. Arrive early and you can park in the car park; otherwise, it's local onstreet parking. The noise from the pub intrudes into the restaurant emphasised by wooden floors, tables and chairs, but it's a jolly atmosphere. Menus are inventive and the service is good. We book to ensure a... I had couple of drinks in the bar area, then walk around to the restaurant area. I liked the fact the place wasn't too busy. The service was good and friendly. We were not rushed they allowed just the right amount of time between courses for us to enjoy our conversation. The food was tasty and well presented. I liked... More

Group of three of us met here for the bottomless brunch that we had seen advertised on a previous visit. At first we were directed to the restaurant area but this was completely empty at 130 so asked if we could use the bar area . The menu looked very agreeable and the starters were nice but all three of... More

Potentially a great local. Good waiters and waitresses. Here for Sunday lunch. Unfortunately a very long wait for the main course. When it finally arrived the vegetables were undercooked and the battered fish was soggy. Not the first time we've had a bad meal. The quality is too hit and miss to come back. Will not visit again until the... More

The Bald Faced Stag, as you can probably tell from my previous reviews, is my local. It is owned by a chain, Metropolitan Pub Company, who obviously haven't visited their site for a good long while. The pub side is fine - nice wines by the glass, nice atmosphere, bit short staffed but that's a busy London pub for you.... More

Booked Christmas Day dinner here having previously eaten here and paid the over-priced charge you'd expect. The meal was sadly not as expected. You would have hoped that with such a minimal choice and plenty of advance notice, the kitchen would have got it right but sadly not! Roasties were anemic and veg tasteless and luke warm. Cheese cake was... More
