We were shocked by the way we were treated today by members of staff at this restaurant. 'Katia' was particularly rude. We only asked a simple question about the use of vouchers, and were tutted at and told 'I can't deal with you, you can deal with the manager'. When 'Anneka' (the manager) arrived, she was immediately confrontational and laughed... More

We were running out of time and just wanted some food before taking our bus to Standsted airport, and this restaurant was superbly located just in front of the airport buses stop at Liverpool street. We weren't expecting nothing special and were positively surprised. We asked for a menu offer which included garlic bread and mozzarella cheese plus a pizza... More

Been here on three occasions, each time a huge disappointment. First time, sat for 20 minutes, completely ignored by staff passing to/fro, without even being offered the menu. Put on coat and walked out! Staff looked & said not a word. Second time, we thought our pizzas were taking an unusually long time to come. Eventually they turned up, curled... More

Booked a table at pizza express Bishopsgate for an evening dinner with a friend. We went drinking beforehand so when dinner finally arrived we weren't very hungry. Gentleman who was servicing us didn't rush us for our order or our drinks order. When we did get round to ordering the pizza arrived in less than 5 minutes and the same... More

Went here at lunchtime today and not my choice but my work colleagues said it was the only place we could get a table at lunchtime, same poor quality pizza they serve in all their other so called restaurants, if the pizza base gets any thinner you will be able to see through it. These places charge a fortune for... More

Clean interior, very fast service, which did make me wonder how they'd managed to cook my pizza so quickly. It had only just been cooked enough, and was luke warm. Had to ask for parmesan and other condiments. Probably a 2.5 experience, a 2 rating would be too harsh, and a 3 too good. Expect to pay around £22 for... More

I came here for lunch with a work colleague, now i understand that in London people are always pressed for time and in a rush but I had just taken the last bite of my starter when my main then came out and because we were sat near air conditioning the food got cold quicker than I could eat it.... The tittle of my review says it all. First off, the toilets. They've always had an issue here with the sewage running underneath but this was just unbelievable. Opening the doors to the stairs I was hit with a smell of drains, on going down to the toilets it got so bad I had to hold my nose. In the... More

Takeout pizza order. The waitstaff had to go around asking several people for someone to be able to take my order. Pizza was ready in 20 minutes which was good but when I got it back it had been overcooked to the point where it was almost burnt.

We went to pizza express to have a pizza with my friends. Pizza was really good but service was slow. After finished, the waitress Came to us to ask if we likes dessert, we asked for the dessert menu and nobody came back to us, they were too busy clearing tables. So I asked to another waitress to bring the... More

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
