Having lived in Asia, I am sometimes skeptical of Asian food places. This place did not disappoint. It's a little expensive, so prob not good if you're on a budget. Their food is delicious though!

Although we went on a Saturday evening, the restaurant was not overly busy. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and not expensive.

Called in for lunch whilst in the area. The staff were extremely polite and helpful from start to finish. We ordered from the express lunch menu. The service was very quick, and the food was superb. Will definitely be back when I'm next in the area. Absolutely faultless.

Hadn't been here for a while and last time it was great, This time they managed to lose our bottle of wine which ended up on another table! Food was nice and actually more filling than you might think. When the bill came it was for the wrong table and of course far more than what it should have been.... More

First of all the good bits- great location in Soho, medium sized restaurant so not crazy hectic and not bijoux either. Nice authentic Thai interior with a modern London edge. Staff very attentive, service spot on a quick. Menu has reasonable variety but lacking some key Thai staples that in Thailand you will always find available. Portion sizes are good.... More

Delicious Thai food. A little pricey for portion sizes, but all round a great restaurant and good service - friendly staff. For starters we had the lilac, caramelised chicken dumplings which were incredible - definitely try these, and also the duck spring rolls which were just as good. For Mains we hadthe honey duck and chicken Thai Curry - both... More

Great Thai restaurant in Soho. We dine there every time we visit London. A bit pricy for Thai but well worth it. Service and food are top class. Basically all the starters are fine. Main standouts for us included the duck with chili & basil, the beef cheek panang (very tender), vegetable soya noodles and the chicken kieaw wan...all great... More

There are several Patara's around town and this is the first time we've been to this one. Good service, attentive staff - in particular Martdin and comfortable surroundings. We ordered too much as usual and the food was very good but I can't help feeling the menu could do with a refresh.

Description
One of a family of worldwide restaurants, London's Patara restaurant brings sophisticated Thai dining to Soho's Greek Street. Tastefully decorated with plenty of atmosphere thanks to subdued lighting, huge pots of orchids, flickering candles, silk-covered banquettes and Thai figurines inlaid with glass mosaic tiles, it's ideal for a romantic dinner for two. The Patara kitchen is ambitious, producing excellent creations of classic Thai cuisine like tom yum goong soup; beef with green curry and;, of course, pad Thai noodles. The service is renowned for its excellence and the wine list begins at a reasonably-priced level. Someone in the kitchen has an eye for beauty, too, because at Patara restaurant each dish is exquisitely arranged to delight your eye as well as your palate. Patara Thai restaurant is a haven from Soho's scruffiness; a glamorous, romantic, authentic, professional spot for an excellent dining experience.

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
