We visited here twice over a weekend in Liverpool. We were part of a group of 10 who went for drinks on the Saturday and reserved a table for lunch on the Sunday. On the Saturday the service was extremely slow with only three people...More

We saw this as we passed on the hop on hop off bus, so we decided to have lunch there. The decor is amazing. Two rooms off the bar, one called Brahms, the other called Liszt. That amused my husband. We had lunch in a...More

This has to be one of Liverpool's most historic pubs. It is stunningly beautiful with many quaint seating areas. Lovely big fireplaces & old original features. Due to It's popularity it was very busy with I assume like us passing tourists popping in for a...More

Beautiful pub with comfy and cosy rooms to relax, eat and drink in but it's the second Nicholson's pub I've been to in a week and the food is terrible! Definitely drink here but don't eat.

I had been told to visit this pub on a recent visit to Liverpool, and when I found it I felt like I was stepping back over 100 years. The interior is amazing and is practically untouched. There are huge fireplaces in each room which...More

Went here on recommendation of friends since it was near a music venue we were meeting at, did good food and had Grade I listed toilets (only ones in Britain I believe). Well worth visiting for all these reasons - good beer, tasty food and...More

Recommended to visit the Philharmonic whilst in Liverpool, I was not disappointed, the decor and mosaic is stunning. Another plus is the range of real ales on offer, though they are more expensive than others. Tranquil early afternoon, don't know about late pm and evening.

Decided to have lunch in this awesome destination. The chicken club and homemade crisps were award winning. The gentlemen's facilities were the most ornate that I have ever seen. However, the ladies facilities left a lot to the imagination. Worth a second trip.
