Wow! This little (and I mean 'tiny') restaurant attached to a cheese deli serves amazingly delicious food! I had the macaroni cheese, with chilli, which was so good! My daughter had the double cheese soufflé which she has each time she visits so it must be good - it looked amazing. My husband had the baked camembert which also went... More

Before talking about taste, excellent and extremely knowledgeable service! Made the whole experience enjoyable. The cheese selection is amazing, and we're fully looking forward too our delivery if ( lots of) cheese. Outside of wedding planning. Also well worth popping in to peruse their selection p, and grab some random off-cuts for a good price!

This Independent Cafe is absolutely superb. The Grilled Sourdough with well seasoned Crushed Avocado and Chill, and Grilled Halloumi and a lovely salad is fabulous, my partner's Fish platter with Morecambe Bay Potted Shrimps and lots of other lovely fish dishes is again fabulous. The star though was the Almond and Orange cake with Grand Marnier Syrup and Ice Cream,... More

Had a wonderful lunchtime meal at the Cheese Society. Partner had the Special of the Day which was vegetable lasagne with garlic bread and I had the toasted Rye Bread with Avocado and Halloumi cheese (£9 per head) . Excellent value and good size portions

What an absolute treasure. I was simply blown away by the quality of food and service at The Cheese Society when I visited for a late lunch on Saturday. We were taken to our seats and served by our lovely host, Judy, who was so friendly and knowledgeable about the cheeses and how the food is made. My partner had... More

Quaint little place with just 12 seats & a no bookings policy, we had to walk around the block a couple of times until spotting a free table to pounce on. The menu is based on cheese plus some charcuterie & a handful of puds. Expect dishes such as soufflé, tartiflette & raclette in addition to cheese & meat boards.... More

Went for lunch, the food was delicious and the service was friendly and informative. Rarebit was amazing and the choice of cheeses to buy was huge. Took nearly as long to decide as it did to eat lunch.

Visited The Cheese Society for a spot of lunch, and certainly wasn't disappointed. We opted for the cheese and meat board and it was delicious! Apart from being brilliantly tasty, it was also good value for money, especially when all the produce is of such a good quality, and there was no shortage of some fabulous cheeses too! Staff were...
