Went after it had been taken over, to see if it had improved. External looks better but internal is still as dusty and dated and a real disappointment

TERRIBLE, dried up vegetables, smallest portions of meat ever, dingy interior, mold on the walls and ceilings, grubby cutlery, no choice of puddings, even had to jump over sewage spilling into the door way and across the entrance spilling out from the toilets on Sunday the 18th December 2016. Ive been there with the previous management as I live in... More

This is the only pub within sensible walking distance of where we live. We have visited a few times for a drink or meal and it is always a disappointment, which is a shame as we really need a decent pub nearby and we would be regulars if it was any good. When we have visited the beer and food... More

Interior appears dark in some areas and a bit shabby looking. It now Seems to be open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday lunchtimes as well as evenings. I'd been twice previous to find it was closed on both occasions even though signs had said open all day. I had a smallish portion of home made thick soup which was filled... More

Have eaten here twice now and both times have been enjoyable. Decor needs a refurb but the staff and chef are top notch. Very friendly and for the price, you can't go wrong.

Had a lovey meal again but I have to respond to the comments previously as we was in the restaurant at the same time as the 15th birthday party. This party was very aggressive towards the manager and staff and had no intention in paying for meals as we heard them planning this. It was truly disgusting how they treated... More

Sticky tables, dirty cutlery and not a single real ale in this so called "free house" Very friendly and helpful front of house staff but overall extremely average. Drab interior with a grubby feel and for the price of the food very disappointing.
