This time round, The Crosskeys, really lacked a great warm and friendly atmosphere with the staff. We've been here a few times over the last couple of years and have to admit, we did leave slightly disappointed. The wine was delicious and our food was above average but it was the atmosphere, that really let our family get together down.

Used TripAdvisor to recommend us a local pub for Sunday dinner and we were not disappointed with this place! Friendly service, food was served quickly and was absolutely beautiful! We'd go back if we hadn't been on holiday!

We have been here last year in May for a drink and thought the menu was worth coming back to try at least once We were in the bar quite early in the evening and we ate in the bar not the restaurant so the comments are as such Its not a big menu therefore I would expect the chefs... More

Food was great here. Looks like a little pub until you realise there is an eating area upstairs and to the rear.

We have been coming to this area for years but have never thought of this pub because its nothing to look at from the outside, but once inside its a different story. Upstairs there is a lovely restaurant with great views (in summer you can sit outside). Our Sunday lunch was wonderful. The beef was done perfectly, pink and the... More

We (me, my husband and our 4 year old little boy) visited, after we had been to the local car boot sale, for a light snack. It was a lovely day so we sat outside at the back, lovely tables with enough space and plenty of shade with the umbrellas :). We had sandwiches and chips, everything was lovely and... More

Not wanting to remortgage our house for a meal, we decided against eating at Centre Parcs before setting off home at the end of our week long stay. Reading the great reviews on here we decided to try The Cross Keys. What a great choice! A warm welcome from the start and great food. All cooked from fresh, so it... More

We had lunch here with my sister and it was really good, nice welcoming atmosphere and areal coal fire which was even nicer! My partner and my sister had the Sunday roast which was beef and looked very nice, the beef being cooked medium rare not the usual incinerated pub fare"! I had the home made slider burgers which were... More
