I have lost count of how many times I have eaten in Abraham's Cafe, it is quite a few over the years! Today we both had the Chicken Broth which was up to its usual high standard. As with everything on the menu, the broth is made on the premises, and the chicken is really tender, with a good variety... More

We popped in for a late morning snack. The cafe is cosy and inviting and we were served by a friendly and efficient waitress. We ordered tea for 1, a soft drink, a scone and plum bread. The pot of tea arrived with extra hot water, an extra tea bag and two tasty biscuits. We are only sorry that we... More

We have been visiting Abraham's cafe for many years now on our regular trips to Keswick. The food is consistently excellent although we particularly enjoy the scones (look out for the speciality scone of the day on the blackboard) after a long walk.

We went to Abraham's Cafe for lunch. The organic, homemade breads were AMAZING! Definitely the best part of the meal. The "salmon salad" was basically salmon with the exact same amount of leaves that was on everyone's plate, so not the thing to go for if you actually want a big salad. But, the cold salmon was nicely cooked. Best... More

We went back to Abraham's tea room above George Fisher's outdoor shop last week on our latest trip to Keswick. We found a table under the skylights and took our seat. The table lay-out here in general is way too cramped. I realise the owners want to maximise the number of paying guests in what is a small venue, but... More

We stopped here for tea and cake which was lovely. A really generous slice of chocolate cake for me and a cheese and chive scone for my husband. Both very nice and with plenty of tea to was it down. Will certainly be back if we visit Keswick again. Wished that I had bought the recipe book.

Visited here over winter with family, including a young child, as my mother raves about the food - her favourite being the rarebit. The staff were extremely friendly and the service was swift. The food was tasty and plentiful, and I was assured that it often tastes even better! The menu is fantastic and this is definitely a good place... More

I visited over Christmas with a friend. I ordered the Lakeland cheddar sandwich with homemade chutney. Oddly I got two small round slices of bread side by side on the plate with no butter or chutney on and about an entire block of grated cheddar just dumped on top. This made it very difficult to eat and I resorted to... More

Hello Thanks for leaving a review. Sorry your sandwich wasn't quite what you were expecting, sounds like you got a bit more cheese than was required on your open sandwich, but the bread should definitely have been buttered. I've passed on your comments to the kitchen and cafe. Victoria More

We visit Keswick at least once every year, and this cafe is always top of the list for lunch. Consistently excellent food, service and ambiance. Walker and family friendly the only minor downside is that sometimes you have to wait for a table - testimony to its excellence! The wait is never too long.
