Visited for breakfast. Amazing muffins and lovely coffee. Upstairs is comfortable and relaxing. Great friendly service too!

This is a fantastic little coffee shop. Came across this back in 2009 and was pleased to find it was still there in 2016. My wife and I are coffee lovers and its difficult to find good coffee when travelling. Thanks to Java there is always good coffee on the menu and Im pleased to say all the staff are... More

We popped in here based on the TripAdvisor review and would recommend don't bother. Given the number of wonderful Tearooms and coffee shops in Keswick this is not one of them. We got the feeling they didn't want to serve us as they were nearly full - there were seats downstairs and they didn't offer them to us even though... More

Many thanks for the lackluster review I'm very sorry to hear our sofas, chairs, and bench seating was far too uncomfortable for you and your party. We are known for our politeness and as the said child was mine i find it very surprising you were not offered this seating as i or members of staff always offer the seats... More

Just returned from a trip to Keswick, found this lovey coffee shop, dog friendly, great coffee and lovely cakes. Lovely friendly staff, needless to say we paid a few visits and bought some coffee for home.

The food was unbelievable for how much it cost and there was lots of it as well. The waiter was very friendly and helpful in recommending dishes. Also the drink were lovely. Would highly recommend

We arrived in Keswick at lunch time so decided to pop into the Java Café for something to eat. We got a friendly welcome and thought the café was very cosy. There was plenty of choice on the menu for snack lunches and I opted for the pulled pork panini with mozzarella and chilli flakes. It was nice but I... More

We stopped at the Java cafe for lunch as we arrived in Keswick. Being dog friendly, as so many places are in Keswick, it was a great place to stop. My wife and I both opted for the pulled pork baguette with mozzarella and chilli flakes. The sandwich was lovely although we made a mistake by not having the bbq... More

I do love a good coffee but I also like to mix it up a bit so when I saw the gingerbread latte then I had to go for it. Oh boy it was fab. A hot bowl (a cup doesn't describe it) of scrumminess. The java coffee shop is a really nice place to spend 20 minutes warming your... More

An independent quirky coffee shop. Specializing in Coffee and Cakes.. It is also dog friendly. We have outside seating situated in the market square for those warm sunny days.. We also have upstairs seating with large comfy sofas perfect for those cold winter days.. We have a 4 tier chocolate fountain perfect for a little treat or even to keep the kids occupied while you sit back and relax with a perfect cup of coffee... Need we say more!!
