My favourite pub in Keswick. Great pub food and atmosphere. Dog friendly and don't forget to try the Goulash comes in a veggie option too. It does get very busy as it is a popular spot.

A quick look at the menu and it was easy to find that everyone was tucking into the Hungarian Goulash. Obviously not wanting... More

We visited the Dog and Gun Inn for breakfast following a stay at Leeming Wells hotel which is located next door. We opted for the breakfast buffet as we were in a large group. The buffet came with lots of food including sausage, bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes and toast etc. The food was very fresh and well prepared. My only... More

Very good atmosphere, very popular, lovely pub food! The waiters were brilliant! Only complaint is too many dogs especially where food is being served.

Beer was fine and refreshing but there were dogs everywhere Just cant get over people stroking their dogs and eating chips and sandwiches at the same time. Not our mutt of tea!
