Stayed here for a few days and it was just what we were after. Very peaceful and relaxing, clean and tidy and staff were friendly especially Sally who was happy to have a lil chat to make sure we was having a nice time. Breakfast was really nice and our evening meal was out of this world. So tempted to... More

My mum and dad brought me for my first doggie holiday and I loved it, lots of grass for me to wander about on and I will now pass you over to the grown ups. (Mouse the Jack Russell). We had 2 rooms for 2 nights both of which were spotlessly clean and comfortable. Room 3 had a lovely view... More

Fast easy check in. Clean & comfortable rooms. Nice selection of drinks at the bar. Lovely breakfast. Helpful and attentive staff. Good base. We usually stay in Bowness but as we needed 3 rooms and was a last minute thing we could only get this. However, not a problem as only 6 miles from Bowness. As long as you have... More

We sat fir an hour in generous armchairs just chilling so comfortable we decided to eat. My partner ordered Cumberland sausage and mash I had the recommended haddock and chips. Comfort food... More

We needed accommodation near Kendal as we were attending a family wedding. We arrived Fri evening around 7.30, checked in and headed down to the bar for an evening meal. Service friendly, not a massive choice of food, but plenty for our party to select from. Food very good. Rooms nicely decorated. Beds comfortable. Bathrooms appear quite new. Breakfast selection... Went with friends in a group of four. Beer was very good. Food was excellent. Service could have been better and was the only thing that stopped a five. Will definitely go back.

Called here on the way to Windermere, good position up on the hill from the road. The inn is modern and well furnished, our food came really quickly - all sourced locally, all our meals were lovely and portions were large.

My partner and I ended up here after not being able to park anywhere for dinner near Windermere. We were sat at a lovely table straight away and ordered some locally produced drinks. The atmosphere is very quiet and relaxing with modern country décor. The menu is small but has something for everyone. We ordered just mains as we were... More
