The Jumble Room looks very small from the roadside but there is a bigger room upstairs as well. The décor & ambience and uniquely laid back and the limited between tables is not an issue. The menu is also quite small but the food is excellent. We started with Kicking Crab Crostini and Raviolini, both very tasty. Followed by the... More

Lovely restaurant with a different menu. Quite small and intimate with tables quite close together but a fantastic ambience. Service was excellent. Menu limited but what we had was all superb. Crab crostini to start, followed by the thriller from manila, chicken and prawn oriental dish and an amazing gingerbread pudding. We will visit again

We had read brilliant reviews on this place but unsure what to expect... we ended up having 3 courses each and it was some of the best food we've ever had (we live in London and eat out a LOT!). Beef starter - amazing. Raviolini starter - amazing. Hake - amazing. Gingerbread... omg, we wanted more! Can't recommend enough. Quirky/slightly... More

We happened upon this restaurant by chance, when checking the menu , everything seemed very right, so we booked! A small menu from a small kitchen, but everything looked lovely. Our steak and chicken dishes were served in an oriental style. Not too long a wait, plenty of time to look round the interesting room. Pleasant wines and beers. More... More

Quirky restaurant with really lovely food. Interesting menu: I chose the hake, which was very good, but I would have been happy with the veggie option too. Desserts were also great, although I think the cheeseboard and the pavlova could have been shared by two! Loved the feel of the place, and the eclectic music playing. It is now on... More

This restaurant should definitely not work. The menu is a mixture of local Cumbrian food and Asian inspired dishes. The menu might be strange, but the food is very, very good. The atmosphere is cosy and friendly, and the staff are very cheery and helpful. The modern British cooking is every bit as good as the Asian dishes. Really quirky... More

Second visit to this gem of a restaurant. Was not disappointed. The food is exceptional. The tables are quite close together so if your looking for that intimate dinning experience this might not be the place for you. If however you want great food in a funky atmospher with fantastic music playing the the background then get your table booked!

I saw The Jumble Room recommended in The Telegraph and was drawn to the eclectic music and art influence. It really is a jumble of vibrant colours, interesting ornaments, eclectic music and even down to the menu, which takes on a multicultural influence. There were so many appealing dishes to choose from, I could have picked several! The service and... More

Dined here between Christmas and the New Year, but not for the first time. Happy to say that the earlier good experiences were repeated. Great service from an attentive, friendly and lively waiting staff who add to the enjoyment of the meal while not being intrusive. The decor is a bit idiosyncratic but fun. Great menu with some interesting dishes... More

Had a lovely meal with friends whilst staying up in The Lakes at this unique restaurant. A wonderful evening coupled with great food and hospitality! Being New Years Eve made it even more memorable. Will definitely go again when next visiting Grasmere!!
